I sold my dress on that site. It was great. I posted it in August and it was sold in October. I paid $3,500 plus tax for my dress, posted it for $1,900 and sold it for $1,400. I was willing to go to that price because there were other people selling my dress on the site and I really wanted to just sell it and be done with it. It seems like a lot of people on the site have unrealistic expectations of what they can get for their dress  although if yours is unworn I guess u will do better

I skyped the buyer so that she could meet me and see the dress. She was such a sweet person which was nice to know.

When buying mine, there were a lot of people I contacted that is seemed they long forgot they made the posting. But I did end up buying my dress from there as I had a “dress alert” set up for the one I wanted so I snatched up the morning it posted.

lifeswonderful2day:  I found a dress 40 miles from me. It was in a bridal store and originally a sample. It was originally a $2800 dress, and I got it for $840(!!!).  They treated their dresses incredibly well, so the dress was near perfection and only tried on 5 times. I’d highly suggest narrowing your search to somewhere you would want to drive so you can try on the dress.

Oh, and I am now a firm believer that anyone who pays full price for a wedding dress is nuts after my preownedweddingdresses.com experience 😉

i also bought mine from there, it was easy to use and i was able to find my dress unworn but preowned. as one of the PPs said, some people do have unrealistic expectations though, so you should scout around to see what others are asking for the same dress.

Do most of you expect buyers to negotiate the price down? I’m wondering if preownedweddingdresses.com is the bridal version of Kijiji where negotiating is standard.

I’d be the buyer in this case. I found a handful of listings for a dress I am interested in, but I am terrible at haggling. Should I express interest and try to build rapport before haggling, or should I ask if someone is open to negotiation from the get-go so I don’t waste their time? Yup. I am pretty bad at this!

I bought my dress on that website as well. I simply asked the seller if she would take “blank” for it…and she did 😀 great experience. I asked to skype so I could see she physically had the dress.
