We have been using condoms for the past two months because Medco was switched over to Express Scripts and they fubared my birth control prescription. First, they refused to fill anymore of my old precription. Second, I called the nurse but they wouldn’t let her call in any more refills so I had to schedule an appointment which was impossible to do with my schedule over the holidays. Finally, I made it to the doctor after the new year and sent in my prescription which they processed on January 7 but do not plan to ship until January 24. Is there a shortage of Azurette that I don’t know about? I will take any low dose generic BCP at this point if given the option!!!

wow! that sucks. Could your doctor give you a sample pack?

I get my Azurette through Express Scripts as well. Couldn’t your Dr. have given you a one or two month prescription to hold you over? I had a similar issue (forgot to schedule my yearly check-up) and was able to get another Mircette generic through a local pharmacy, just for one month while I was waiting for my next refill from Express Scripts. I hate “that check-up” but I hate using condoms even more!

Yeah they tried to force me to use their mail order pharmacy for my bcp or they won’t cover my medicine anymore. I decided to pay out of pocket because their mail order pharmacies are notoriously unreliable and I am not looking to get pregnant right now thanks. Express Scripts/Medco can go pound sand.
