Due to space limitation (reception hall will be 100 ppll) we cannot invite all extended family, just the ones we are closests to. Anyone else going through this also? And is it okay to only invite extended family members we are actually close to? Oh and happy Friday!

@julyweddinglovebirds: You certainly may limit the number of family members you invite. However, you should focus on limiting certain categories of family and not certain individuals. For example, it would be fine to invite only aunts and uncles and no cousins, but it wouldn’t be fine to invite only two of your nine cousins on the same side of your family.
I have a much smaller family of origin than my Darling Husband does, and I invited all of my first cousins (and their spouses.) On the other hand, Darling Husband did not invite any of his cousins, since he has so many brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. It wasn’t a problem for me to invite my cousins even though he did not invite his, because none of these individuals are in the same family or social circle.

Agree! Only limit by categories
