iv used extensions and will be again for my wedding buy them a few weeks ahead so you can practice putting them in, if your doing an updo it might be worth it to pay extra for tape in or weave if your wearing it down or partially down then clip ins are fine i only mention the updo thing because clip ins can be uncomfortable up. the sallys employee should be able to help you find a color close to yours

LovingLife89:  Hye, I bought hair extensions for my wedding. I went to my local beauty supply store to purchase them because I wanted to make sure the quality was good and it matched my hair color. I would recommend buying them after you dye your hair before the wedding (I dyed mine a month before the wedding date) so you match the color exactly. I think I paid around $120 for the hair and it came with plenty of clips to give me a lot of volume, but you can always buy extra (don’t open) and return after the wedding if you don’t need anymore 🙂

I bought extensions a long long time ago at a local beauty store. I initially had them sewn in and I hated them. So when I took them out I put clips on them so I could reuse. This was about 8 years ago and they’re still in decent shape! I use them whenever I have a big night out (birthday) or when I’m in Vegas and I used them at my wedding. I call them my party hair! 🙂 I use them mostly for volume but they add about 2 in to my length. I definitely recommend remy human hair anything else is a waste of money. Your hair stylist should be able to cut them so they blend into your existing hair better. If you are having your hair done professionally on your wedding day, your stylist should put them in for you. They’re better at placing them where they need to be to work with whatever style you’re doing. Here’s a picture of my wedding day.

I got mine from here and they looked great! The main reason I used them was because they were the most affordable and quality option that offered custom balayage highlights to match my hair. My only tip wold be to get the double drawn as the single drawn were VERY thin and I had to exchange them.

I wore Bellami extensions on my wedding day (and wear them frequently). I highly recommend them. I’ve tried extensions from Sally’s and was not impressed at all, for what it’s worth.

LovingLife89:  Mine usually last about 4-5 months, but I wear them almost daily. If you don’t plan to wear them as often and take good care of them, they’ll last longer. My natural hair is just past my collarbone, for reference.

My hair was up for the ceremony and I let it down for the reception, so it could have used a good brushing. These were ombre extensions.

This was a couple weeks later:

Non-ombre Bellamis (I think these were color #4):

I wore clip in extensions for my first wedding. I got them from Foxy Locks Extensions and took them to my hairdresser who colour matched them and cut them in.

Could not of been happier with the quality and they lasted about 5 years of special occasion wear after that.

I just bought my Bellami Bellisima extensions 20″ and had my Hairdresser layer them to match my hair. I bought them for enegagement photos today, I will post a picture at some point if I get a chance. I even returned the previous pair because it didn’t match my hair and the return process was easy.

The quality is great, and my favorite bloggers use them. I don’t plan on wearing them often, but they should last until my wedding next year with care.

I wear hair extensions regularly and in my opinion my favourite has to be Bellami. To alot of people they aren’t ‘affordable’ but when buying hair extensions you want to consider quality, quantity and you pay for what you get.
The best advice for getting them to blend would be to get them cut by a hairdresser that has a lot of experience in cutting hair extensions.. I once made the mistake of getting the cut by a hairdresser i’d never used before and she gave me very blunt ends, and no layers so they didn’t belnd well and looked so obvious. Also considering length and thickness of the extensions is important because if you have super thick hair and only go for a lesser gram it is going to be obvious and if you have super super short hair and go for say 24″ that will also be very obvious.
Just do your research and you’ll find the best for you
