@aprose:  Thank you!  It is a Galina Signature from David’s Bridal style #sv415.  Very heavy, but I loved it!

@stuckinwonderland:  Thank you sweetheart! 🙂 I ended up loving my dress, but also hating it because Taffeta is a horrible material for a summer wedding :/

Just got mine. this is my dream dress ive wanted since i was a little girl. the top is screwed up tho. the torso is way too long so its rolled down a few inches which is why its so bunchy looking in my tummy area. i love the lace tho and the train is gorgeous!

I’m a size 24 and here’s my dress (which I designed myself and had made by a dressmaker):

Nothing suited me as much as an a-line did, but I found I preferred the slimmer a-line silhouettes. If your friend has a waist – is either hourglass or pear shaped – she may be able to wear a more fitted style i.e. mermaid, trumpet, fit and flare or drop waist. I don’t have a waist so it was a-line all the way for me.

    I wore a full-skirted princess-line tea-length dress for the reception – don’t have a full-size photo of it yet though.

@Future_Mrs_Craig:  thank you! It’s just from Macy’s. I originally bought it in plum (to wear to a friend’s wedding and then to an event) and liked it enough I pondered wearing it. They had it in off-white online.

I don’t think I actually ever posted a pic of me in my dress on this thread! And if I did (I just looked through and didn’t see one) then I’m sorry for double posting!! Mine is a size 18 dress from David’s bridal. And I love it!

Here is me in my custom-made dress. I estimate it to be about size 14-16.

I lost 42 lbs since last June (and have been mostly maintaining for months! ugh)

I still have some weight to lose, but I’m liking how my dress looks on me!

Holy heck. I know this is an old thread, but it is SO INSPIRING. I have never seen a more beautiful bunch of brides! Everyone looks stunning, and it gives me hope that this “fluffy” bride can knock ’em dead, too, lol.
