Well just the regular square is .58 I believe. My square envelope invites are costing me .96 to mail however due to the size square they are (6.25×6.25) and the weight. I guess anything over 6 inches is moved up in the rate scale.

My suggestion would be to get a full invite sample from where ever, and take it in to find out what it will cost to mail. Just note, enclosures and RSVP envelopes it will make it heaivier and change the rate.

Sweeney is absolutely right – the basic charge for an envelope that can’t go through the postage machines (must be hand cancelled) is 58 cents.  It goes up from there according to the weight of your envelope.  So until you have a sample stuffed, you can’t really tell what the postage will be.

I should note mine are not .98 JUST because of the size, I have pocket fold invites with 3 inserts inthe pocket and an RSVP envelope – so weight played a factor too.

My 6×6 square invitations were 2 oz (normally $0.58) and I was charged an extra $0.17  (for a total of $0.75) because of the non-standard size.
