(Closed) extra table at reception? how many?

Nope. We assigned tables so we only had as many as we needed per e seating plan. Are you assigning tables?

@mb0384:  I didn’t but I ended up having a few last minute no shows so it worked out.  Is is typical in your family for people to show up without RSVPing?  If so, how many generally will show up?  Otherwise, if you have no reason to expect a large number of additional guests then I wouldn’t add more than 1 extra table.  If more than that show, then they can stand and wait because they should have RSVP’d as requested by the invitation.

@mb0384:  We have a vendor table for our two vendors (DJ and photographer), but with five extra seats in case we have “crashers.”

By The Way, I think highly enough of our family and friends that it wouldn’t happen — but you never know!

I think we had the exacat number of chairs, and 3 no-shows (so we ended up having three extra seats!)

I was just at a wedding where there was no assigned seating, and thank goodness there were extra tables, because people were dragging chairs and tables around to make groups and such. Expect that.
