We watched this show on TLC tonight and were blown away. We do use some coupons and usually shop at Kroger because they double the coupons. I was wondering if anyone is like these people on the show and save this much money. Where do you get your coupons? I get mine from the newpaper on Sundays and from coupons.com

That show is CRAZY! I watched one where the woman bought over $600 worth of stuff and only paid like $5….I wish I could be that savvy but it seems like couponing takes over their lives. I don’t know if the money you save would be worth investing your life..

I know right! This guy just bought 1100 boxes of total cereal. But he gave it to the food bank instead of the chick that bought 100+ boxes of pasta and kept it for herself.

Thats insane – Ive never seen the show but I think it would probably make me feel bad about not using coupons! We havent tried using coupons yet but we just saved our coupons from our most recent grocery store trip. I think we will have to try to use them more!

@xshellx2003: OMG Fiance and I saw the show and it inspired us! We are trying to be better and starting slow. The same places you mentioned is where we get ours from. A friend of ours saw it too and now has a HUGE binder of coupons and gets coupons from all her family and friends and has been doing it for 2 months. She said the most she got off her grocery bill was from $200 dollars down to $120 which I think is awesome. Not as crazy as the people is the show, but realistic.

I was at Kroger the other day and there was a sign saying that local patrons had been using counterfeit coupons and their staff had a right to refuse your coupons if they were “excessive”. The checker said people had been photocopying coupons or doctoring them in Photoshop to get similar results to the people on the Extreme Couponing show. Crazy!

I was just telling my coworker about this show. It’s so great!! I told my Fiance we should do this, and he said he’d rather pay more and keep his Fiance rather than losing me to coupon clipping hahaha.

I saw this show too!! And not that I’m an extreme couponer or anything but this show did inspire me to save more. I check the grocery store weekly paper that goes around with their weekly deals and I use http://www.coupons.com to get manufacturer coupons…it’s a great site!

I should definitely invest in using coupons more. It’d help so much. The grocery store prices are getting way too ridiculous. I know a few stores in the tri-state area put a freeze on grocery prices because it’s starting to hurt in the money department. If only they’d do that for gas as well.
