DEFINITELY recommend it over waxing.  You get a more defined line and overall it is a much cleaner look.

It does hurt a bit more than waxing though.

I’ve had it done and, I have to say, the pain was enough to make me swear never again.

The end result was slightly cleaner and more even than waxing, but unless you’ve got really unruly brows I doubt the difference will be noticable to others.

I had a friend who raved about her threader, and how little it hurt and fabulous it looked, so I went with her a tried it.  Never. Ever. Again.  Each pass of the thread hurt as much as wax being ripped off, and it was dozens of passes per eye.  Plus, because the thread pulls in a strait line, I felt like my eyebrows ended up looking much more angular instead of the smooth curve I get from tweezing.  I still have tons of friends who rave about it, so there must be something to it for some people, but my experience was no good, and I’d recommend trying it when you don’t have any important events/photo ops coming up, just in case!

I do this…It’s not ‘fun’ but I wouldn’t say it ‘hurts’ either.  It’s just kind of weird and the sensation definetly causes my eyes to water.  I think it’s better than waxing – better shaping and it doesn’t rip your skin (which i’ve heard is better for your skin over time).

I feel that it is a MUCH better experience than waxing…but like all places, it depends on the skill level of the personal performing it.  When I had my eyebrows threaded (I no longer live in a place where this is common) I couldn’t feel anything. It was seriously painless!  That, compared with some bad waxing experiences, made it a no-brainer decision for me.  But I would do some research on the places in your area who do threading to make sure they are well experienced in the talent.

I hate threading, I tried it once, NEVER EVER AGAIN!! It hurts like hell!

I’m a waxing girl!

I prefer threading over waxing. The end result looks better to me and it hurts less. Plus, i tend to breakout around my eyebrows after waxing and that doesn’t happen with threading.

DEFINITELY THREADING!!! It last so much longer, definitely cleaner and more defined. I say both suck in terms of pain… price of beauty 🙂

While there is pain, it was a very weird feeling.  I had my lip done and the area between my eyes so no experience on the rest of the eyes.  I plan to do it again though as I prefer it over waxing.

Love threading. I get it for my eyebrows and upper lip. Since I was used to tweezing my brows already, it has never really hurt when they get threaded. Getting the upper lip threaded, however, still stings after going monthly for a year.

I love threading though I do agree that it’s more painful!  It does last quite a while and for someone with blonde eyebrows and not a clue how to pluck it’s a total beauty must!  I can get away with going once a month so it works out great.  There is a lot less skin irritation than waxing for me which is another bonus.

I got my eyebrows threaded for the first time about 2 months ago and loved the results.  I’ve never had my eyebrows waxed before, so I don’t have anything to compare it to pain-wise.  I used to just pluck and had no idea how many hairs I was missing until I got my eyebrows threaded.  I’m definitely going to do it again!

I haven’t personally done it, but I’ve heard the pain is a lot to handle. Then again if you have a high threshold for pain, not so big a deal. 🙂

Love it! And really, it’s not really that painful, just annoying to have her hanging over your face with that thread string… LOL. But my lady is SUPER quick and she’s done within a couple minutes! I think it lasts so much longer!
