I recently discovered what eyebrow shape works best for my face. I look at old pics and cringe when I see how horrible my brows looked. Just wondering how many of you work your eyebrows into your makeup routine. Until a couple years ago I had no clue people filled them in with a pencil or powder. Any products you love for brows? Just curious because now I am obsessed with eyebrows and I think the right shape can totally change someone’s face and really flatter it. Feel free to share photos too!

I love eyebrows! But I don’t love mine at the moment. one of mine does this awful sticky up thing when they get to a certain length so I tend to over pluck… and then I regret it for ages. I got this awesome eyebrow stencil from nutrimetics though where you literally trace on and fill in your eyebrows. When I have time to do that properly my eyebrows look great.

@legenwaitforitdary: I get my eyebrows waxed and dyed but that is the extent of it. I wish I knew how to properly make them up (then I could probably forgo dying) but I’ve tried and I thought it looked awful!

@legenwaitforitdary: My eyebrows need help and it sucks because if they were fuller and I could get a decent shape to them I think they would help my face out. Wow, that sounded bad. Anyway, I’m blond and there are a few spots here and there where the hair is really light and you can’t see it, so they look sparse when they’re not. And then I am a teen of the 90’s and we all used to pluck them super skinny, mine haven’t grown back since then. I stopped plucking them about 18 years ago, so I’m pretty sure they’re not going to grow back. I hate penciled in brows and with blond hair it kinda looks ridiculous on me, so sometimes I honestly just use that Just For Men beard hair color and dye them a shade darker. Which I need to do…thanks for reminding me.

I have practically no arch, so I don’t particularly like them. 🙁 I can point out exactly where I’d like the hairs to grow, and pluck away what isn’t needed, but the hair I do need never grows there. And when I try to use makeup, I overdo it and they’re SUPER arched. Just can’t win!

@legenwaitforitdary: I love mine! I’ve always had a nice shape so I just fill in the thin places and pluck strays

I trim them and fill them with a pencil then gel when I do my makeup. But eh, could get better for sure !
I have what used to be a small, projecting beauty spot under one of my eyebrows. When I was a kid I managed to scratch it off and it grew back, only it was the same color of my skin this time, instead of brown like it was before. So now, not only do I have hairs that do not sit properly on the eyebow (I constantly have to trim it because hairs don’t grow back the way they should), but when I don’t fill the eyebrow it’s like I have overplucked, it looks as though I have a gap in the middle of my eyebrow (but I don’t, it’s my damn beauty spot).

I generally like the shape of mine but I could probably put some more effort into filling them when I do my makeup. However, recently I waxed off too much of inner part of my left eyebrow. It was pretty embarassing for a bit!

I would like my eyebrows, if one wasn’t like… lopsided. It starts slightly after and ends slightly before the other one, and doesn’t have as nice as an arch. I always do one brow and am like, “man! This looks like a good start” and then boom, I do the second and then looking back at me from the mirror is this

I LOVE my eyebrows… when they’re all cleaned up. I need to trim them pretty badly right now, but once I figured out how much trimming, shaping, and filling in does for your face? LOVE! (This really makes me want to go home and shape them up RIGHT NOW!)
People really don’t know how much of a statement your eyebrows make.

I always get compliments on my eyebrows and I only pluck along my natural shape so I don’t really do anything impressive to them aha. I also swear by Revlon Brow Fantasy. I’ve never found a pencil and gel that matches my eyebrows so well and they give my brows amazing definition. It’s also pretty waterproof (not sure if it’s supposed to be), I can swim or walk around in the rain and my brows still stay defined aha.

@legenwaitforitdary: I always was told I had awesome eyebrows but I never even touched them until I was like 30! LOL, now I take an eye shadow brush and lightly brush the color of my hair ( but a little lighter) to fill them in….
I see a HUGE difference in how much more put together i look…LOL I am with you, I felt like woman had been keeping a secret from me my whole life, lol. Its like how did NO ONE tell me almost everyone does this and it makes you look so much better.
I tried drawing them in with a smudge brush ( it was like a crayon for your eyebrows) they looked way too drawn on. I have learned the most natural way is just lightly brushing them with my eye shadow brush and they stay all day:)
THANK GOD I wasn’t cool growing up and didn’t pluck the crap out of them like “All the popular girls did” LOL…now they all have drawn on thin, looking eyebrows and mine are full and healthy because I never touched them. Yay! It pays being a DWEEB growing up sometimes.

I like them…after I fill them in. 😛 I have to every morning – in fact, that’s the only makeup I wear every single day.
I’m Asian, so I’m part of the sisterhood of people who have lots of thick, lush, shiny hair on top of their heads and not so hot brows & eyelashes. >.< Actually, mine aren’t TERRIBLE compared to some of the women in my family, but they definitely require filling, or else I feel like I look sick. :S
I find that powders (which is basically any eyeshadow that’s not too pigmented – I’m using Kiko Makeup Milano right now) applied with a stiff, angled brush looks good. Pencils often look too dark, but I’m enjoying the one from Make Up For Ever right now. I really want to try Shiseido as well, tho I’ve heard that one is tricky because it only releases colour where there is oil from your hairs (and the whole point of filling them in is because you don’t have enough hairs, right?). After I apply colour, I like to quickly run a brush through them, which makes them look more natural. 🙂
I’ve heard raves about Anastasia brow products from lots of people, but they don’t really have a colour that works for me. :/
