Sweetcece :  very normal. Refills every 2 weeks are the norm, it’s a very high maintenance look.

I’ve been getting lash extensions for a little over 2 years, now. It is very normal to have one eye shed more than the other. For me, personally, I’ve found it more “worth it” to just wear the lashes out until they all fall out and get a whole new set each time instead of getting fills.

I found when I got fills, the old extensions quickly fell out, making things as patchy and weird as if I’d got a full set and rode it out.

I’ve had lashes done a couple of times. Only went back for refills once though as I found I couldn’t bear them anymore after two weeks! Too much hassle and if they’re not done well can be so uncomfortable.

To answer your question, yes they came out unevenly escpeciallt after the refills. As PP said, when the refills were put in the older ones came out quicker meaning they still looked patchy. Would either get them all removed and redone or wait til they’re all mostly out and redone.

refulls were worth it

Yep…pretty normal and I take really good care of my lashes: wash every day with a foaming lash shampoo, sealant every other day and a serum to strengthen the baby hairs.  I’ve found that by doing these things, I can stretch my fills to 4-5 weeks without my lashes looking too sparse.  I don’t think I’ve experienced what PP’s have mentioned…after my fills, my lashes always look good as new.

FWIW, I’ve been getting extensions monthly for 2+ years.

Souzie :  wow! Have you ever considered using latisse and growing out your own lashes to longer lengths?

lifeisbeeutiful : I’ve tried Rapidlash and my lashes did get longer and thicker, especially with mascara.  But I don’t really like putting on mascara…my lashes always end up looking like spindly spider legs LOL…perhaps I’m using the wrong ones?  But I’ve tried a lot of mascaras and even with Rapidlash, the results were nowhere close to what I could achieve with lash extensions.

I’ve not tried Latisse.  If you’ve had, what’s been your experience?

I get my lashes tinted so I no longer have to wear mascara, recommend this route if you’re not loving extensions

I’m scared to get eyelash extensions because I’ve heard they wreck your natural lashes. I use a Rodan and Fields last boost and it works very well.

sunburn :  When applied properly, they shouldn’t damage your lashes.  Also the extensions shouldn’t be more than double your lashes in length and the diameter as close to your natural lashes as possible.

I’ve been getting fills every couple of weeks since last June.  I thought it would be temporary but I just love having eyes that look awake and not feeling that I need eyeliner and mascara every day.

I usually find one eye loses lashes more than the other – be careful to keep them completely dry for the first day or so when you get your fills.

When I first got them, I found it took about 3 weeks to get used to them.  Before that I was hyper-aware of them and took such care.  Now I forget that they’re there.  I love them!!!  Totally worth the splurge every couple weeks – my lash appointment is “me” time. Ahhh.

sunburn :  they damage them if there’s too much glue and/ or you end up picking them out like I do! rather than getting them removed properly 🤷🏻‍♀️

butternutter :   Souzie :  i know I’d like the look, but I’m a big chicken when it comes to procedures. My husband calls me a disasterist.
