I’ve been considering extensions for my wedding and thought that I would go in about a month ahead of time to get used to them should I decide to do it. I would love to see pics!!

Yes, I had them.  We do them at my spa.  After sleeping on my face the first night I looked like Tammy Faye.  The lashes were knotted, bent and fucked up! Never again.

But, many of our clients LOVE them!

I have had them done before and LOVED them. They looks so great and so real! I will definitely be getting them again for my wedding (though it helps that my sister works at a salon so I get them basically for free)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these things. However, they are heavy, so your natural lash cycle will start to get shorter if you keep getting them filled. Meaning, if you decide to give yourself a break (like I did after having them constantly on and filled for like 4 months) all of my lashes were super short for like 3-4 weeks while they grew back out. They will make your real lash fall out a little sooner than normal just because it’s extra weight. I went all summer without, I’m going to get them before the wedding so that I don’t need to deal with mascara while we’re on our honeymoon. I have blonde hair/lashes, so they also tint my lashes brown so that they look more full.

My secret… WEAR mascara!!! They told me not to unless it’s this special kind (that they conveniently sell for $40 per bottle). I wore Loreal Million Lash (Gold bottle)- the normal kind, NOT waterproof, and I swear it acted like a sealant on the lash. My extensions lasted for a good 6-7 weeks rather than the normal 3. To take off makeup, I used the Neutrogena oil free grapefruit face stuff and very gently rubbed along the lash (using the side of my finger like it was a mascara brush) which in the shower. I also used some neutrogena oil free makeup remover on a tissue to dap at the lash line in case any bit of eyeliner/mascara remained after I got out of the shower. I swear this made them last so much longer!!!

I’m getting mine done tomorrow after work! So excited, I cant contain myself today!  I have short eyelashes and me too, I use the strip fake lashes and decided to take the plunge with the semi permanent ones.

Please post pics and I will too after tomorrow!  Good luck and I’m sure you cant wait to wake up beautiful everyday!

I’ve thought about eyelash extensions or Latisse: I love my blonde lashes, and covering them with mascara (even brown) makes me sad, like I’m covering my uniqueness.

I wear light brown Ardell lashes for special occasions, with clear mascara and I love the look of long, light lashes.

@Nona99:  well at least he appreciates the results, if not the process. Completely opposite to my Fiance, who supports any beauty thing I want to do… but insists he can never tell the difference because I’m already beautiful.
