I love my lash extensions! I’ve been getting them done for 10 months now. A few things that I’ve found helped them stay on:

1. Using Black Diamond on them every day when I put on makeup after showering – it re-seals the glue.

2. Using LashFood serum (or a similar product) to make your real lashes grow thick, stay strong, etc.

3. Avoid any oil-based makeup removers, which can affect the glue.

4. I also had a problem where all my right eye lashes were breaking off/falling off, and it was due to how I was sleeping. My lashes last WAY better when I use a contoured eye mask like this:

My lash lady told me that if and when I want to stop getting extensions, the LashFood should help my natural lashes still exist and be plentiful, and I could dye them dark to help create fullness. But I know it will definitely look a bit pathetic after a year of having insane, gorgeous lashes every day haha.

Your lash technician should also be able to offer some advice too – good luck!

I had a horrible experience with eyelash extensions and had to get them removed at a different salon. They couldn’t believe how poorly they were attached- in clumps which caused them to rip out my own lashes. I would say get them removed sooner rather than later if they are causing an issue and refrain from wearing eye makeup for a little bit! Good luck!

I loved having lash extensions, but yes, they ruined my natural lashes. Its one of those things that you have to keep doing once you start lol.

Yes, they look great when you first get them done. You have to keep them up or else they start looking pretty bad when they fall out, and it’s pretty expensive. I would have some take my natural eyelashes out as well. After using them several different times, I just opt to using fiber mascara instead of shelling out all the money to upkeep extensions.

If I had plenty of money to blow, sure id keep getting them. But other than that I think it can be wasteful.

I had them done and they were great and lasted awhile. Didn’t keep it up because they were high maintenance. Like pp said you have to be careful of how you sleep. Also the type of make up and make up remover you use.

I just took mine off, they were driving me insane! They looked beautiful, but we’re so crazy expensive and I couldn’t rub my eyes or sleep on my side or get all my eye makeup off at night and I think I had a minor allergy to the glue. My real lashes are super haggard now, but I don’t even care, they’ll grow back soon. I loved the way they look in my engagement photos but if I had known what a PITA they are, I would have just done strips for the day. Which is what will do for my wedding in Dec. I’m so happy to have my eyes back to normal!

Not exactly what you asked, but a great alternative to eyelash extensions is using Lilash. I have super sensitive eyes and the lash glue for extensions irrates my eyes so ive been using lilash instead for the last 4 years. The results are incredible and people constantly ask if my lashes are fake, however you can no longer buy it in the US because they lost a copyright lawsuit with latisse. I buy it from new zealand and get it shipped to the US. I would highly recommend it!

PS. if you do look into lilash do not buy it from ebay or anywhere in the US because it is most likely fake. If you want the company I get it from, let me know!

I had lash extensions for my bridal shower, bachloertte, and wedding. They looked good and lasted a while but i did lose some of my natural lashes. I honestly think they never grew back the same (short and weirdly angled)

MrsMGE2017 :  Just looked that up, do you use the beauty lounge.nz to ship it to the US?

VintageGirl1020 :  They glue an extension to each of your individual lashes, so when you lose an extension you generally lose a real lash too…

I got them and they grew out within 2 weeks and it just looked like I had tarantula eyelashes. Not a good look. I definitely would not recommend them- not worth the money.

VintageGirl1020 :  I got mine done a couple of years ago. Went to bed and woke up the next morning with. I eyelashes 👍

Took about 6 weeks to grow back, so no I wouldn’t recommend them! The salon told me it was my own fault too because I must have rubbed my eyes in my sleep 😒

I have them right now from my wedding on Saturday. They look nice, but I hate them.  I find them annoying, long and kind of itchy and 100% not my style. I love wearing mascara, but these make me crazy! I haven’t lost many either and I’ve had them a week. I didn’t think about what they would be like AFTER the wedding.
