Hi ladies! I’m going to be getting eyelash extensions this Thursday to trial them for my wedding in Oct, but I’ve recently read a bunch of horror stories about them making your natural lashes brittle/sparse.
I trust the woman who will be doing them, but I’m worried now.. wondering if you’ve had any experience with them?
A colleague recommended eyelash serum – she uses HydroPeptide – but I’ve also read some (not many) reviews saying it hurt their eyes etc.
Keen to hear experiences with either.

I’ve had lash extensions done multiple times and had no issues. Haven’t tried eyelash serums so I can’t say one way or the other.

I’m using Neulash at the moment and I love it! My lashes are long and full. I’m going to keep applying it and get a lash tint before my wedding in November. That and a lick of mascara on the day is more than enough for me.
I had lash extensions a few years ago, but they were very expension to maintain and looked pretty awful when trying to grow them out. I considered getting them for the wedding but didn’t want to go through the grow-out phase during our honeymoon.

I’ve tried a few serums that didn’t really do anything for my lashes except condition them.
On the other hand, I have extensions and can’t say enough good things. They shouldn’t damage your lashes, as long as they’re applied properly and the diameter of the lashes is close to that of your own lashes.

I just wore strip lashes the day of. Some people I know said that their natural lashes got ripped out along with the extension and it took a long time to grow back. You might be ok as long as you dont pull at the lashes and take off any makeup gently. And if you decide you want them off don’t pull them, they have solution they can use to debond the glue and take them off safely

I use and love neulash, but for an event I would still use false lashes. I think the clusters of false lashes look more natural than strips, but it’s about what you’re comfortable with.
My sister had a reaction to the glue used for lash extensions, but my aunt wears them regularly and loves them. I think it just depends! Good luck on your trial!
