I will most likely do fake eyelashes, but the individual ones and not the strips.

marvinlove:  I do like latisse however, it is really expensive…also, because it is a liquid you brush across your eye lash before bedtime…When you are asleep the liquid spreads to sometimes unwanted areas…such as the corners of my eyes above my cheek bones…very strange… which made some dark hairs start to grow… so weird! it CAN darken your eyes…and that’s perminent..I havent noticed that in myself but I had a friend who did it and she said her eyes did darken and she also noticed her eyelids started to appear more blueish…

In my opinion, extensions are much better! They take two hours and you go weeks without eye makeup becasue your eyes just POP!…Latisse gives a more natural look and the full result takes up to 16 weeks and you have to continuously use it or the 16 weeks just goes down the drain….

My SIL got lash extensions for her wedding, they looked incredible! The downside was that she couldn’t touch her eyes, they were really expensive, took a long time to apply, and they don’t shed evenly. So they started to look a little unkempt a couple weeks after the wedding, as she had no intentions of maintaining them. They looked awesome for her wedding, though. A PP mentioned mascara–SIL was told not to wear ANY mascara on her extensions. She didn’t need it, though.

I went with falsies. My MUA applied them for me. They weren’t much longer than my natural lashes, so they looked very natural, but they added some oomph. They looked great in pictures and lasted all night. They were only half-attached come morning, though lol.

I am a strip girl. They’re easy for me to do myself and I’ve never had a problem with them popping off. The best ones I’ve ever gotten are from a Japanese dollar store called Daiso – they look very natural and give my lashes just enough oomph. I had dramatic strip ones for the wedding and think the look really good in photos.

I know someone who gets extensions regularly. You can always tell when she needs a fill because they start to look really wild. And sometimes her eyes get really irritated. One friend swore up and down she would never do it again after trying once and now I think does it all the time! So it really just depends on the person and how they will agree with you.

marvinlove:  I did lash extensions for my wedding, and I did love them. I started getting them a couple months before the wedding, and then refilled every 2 weeks up until the wedding. I got 2 more refills after, and my eyelids developed a reaction to them (they were swollen!)… so I had to stop. It was so odd… and glad that it didn’t happen any time leading up to the wedding.

They were really nice though, although care sometimes was annoying.

But like other PPs have said, get a good technician! I adored the one I had, but sometimes I think she slacked. One of my eyes would always be perfect, and the other would have lashes go crooked or not ever get straight.

I notice the extensions tend to overshadow and overempower your eyes, you can’t really notice the eye makeup with extensions. whereas the lash strips really help make the makeup POP, in a nice way.  I wouldn;t do extensions. I would just do strips for your wedding.  Save the $200+ on other fun stuff 🙂

I wear them all the time…like, all through the year and they look so natural IF they are done with the faux minx where they use medical grade glue. That way, it falls out with your natural lashes and it should never be painful.

The only horror stories I heard are where the girls go to the ‘corner store’ to get the cheap 15 dollar individual lashes where they use hair glue…uggh…for real quality ones, you will be  paying about at least 200 bucks (and thats on the cheap side) and up.

I DONT know if you can make out mine in my picture below but they look natural IRL.

Oh and lastly,

They feel like absolutely nothing are on my eyes and I can swim and do any activity that I want.
