So I’d like something not too expensive, that stays on.
I like the “crayon” type eyeliners, but they seem more expensive and don’t last very long (you have to buy a new one often). Right now I’m using an Almay one, and it either doesn’t go on very smoothly (or else I just need a darker one.) I’ve also used WetnWild pencils (yeah, yeah, I know,) but they seem to make dark spots under my eyes by the end of the day.

I am super cheap and had NEVER bought anything but drugstore makeup before my wedding. I splurged on some cllinique products, including a eyeliner, and let me tell you, it was worth every penney. I believe it ran about $15, but it goes on SMOOTHE and where I want it to go and it stays for, like, ever. I use black brown.

I used to use pencils, and my favorite brand of eyeliner was Annabelle.
But now I use an angled liner brush with dark pressed powder eyeshadow to line my eyes, and it actually looks ten million times better than any pencil. It stays put and lasts all day (and longer, if I’m bad and can’t be bothered to wash my makeup off before bed after a late night out with the girls). If you haven’t tried this method before, I’d definitely give it a shot.

I use Lancome’s Art Liner and I find it lasts a minimum of 6 months. It never runs. Love it. Huge fan. 🙂

I use MAC’s fluidline pots with a eye liner brush. They are semi-water proof so they stay on all day, but wash off well with regular cleanser. They cost about $15 each and last much, much longer than a regular eye pencil that you have to sharpen. The plus side is you can also double it as a base for pigments and eye shadows on your over all eye 🙂

Can’t fault GOSH VELVET TOUCH EYELINER £4.99. It goes on smoothly and is a fine line between liquid eyeliner and Khol. It stays put but you have about a five minute time frame to smudge if you want to have that smokey eye. Worth a look anyway. I cannot find a bad review about it 🙂

L’Oreal HIP or Extra Intense Liquid Eye Pencil. They are pretty much the same thing. Less than $10 and smudgeless. They set in a couple seconds so apply, smudge/whatever, then do the other eye. Once it sets, you need makeup remover to fix it.

Urban Decay makes an excellent pencil liner. It’s called 24/7. You can find it at Sephora.

I know you don’t want to spend a lot, but I firmly believe that MAC’s eyeliners are worth every penny. Used them for my wedding day, they went on smooth, stayed put, and no racoon eyes!

Yes! I use this for my lower lashline.
Calvin Klein makes an excellent pen-liner. I think they are sold at Sephora. A friend of mine who worked for Vanity Fair used to send me boxes of makeup from their makeup closet and this was in one of the boxes. And it lasted FOR EV ER. Super skinny tip and it was almost like a marker, so not has hard to control as a brush with liquid liner. Loved it.

I’m a huge fan of Lancome Le Crayon Khol. Lasts forever and goes on super smooth, without turning me panda by the afternoon. Love it 🙂
I have a great smudgy Estee Lauder too, but it turns my under eye black by the end of the day in hot weather.

I’ve tried several different kinds and my favorite is still the L’Oreal Carbon Black Liquid Liner
looks like this:
It’s cheap and it works amazing.

I just discovered Smashbox Soft Effects Powder Eyeliner. It’s a powder loner that goes on like a liquid liner. I used this for a wedding recently, and it looked amazing all night long. Love it!

Like west.coast.blonde, I use the MAC fluidline in Blacktrack with an eyeliner brush. It stays on all day and looks great. Application was a little tricky for me at first, but with a little practice, it is so easy.
