I use cetaphil, very mild soap. I actually prefer cerave, but it’s a little pricier, so I usually buy it when I have a cvs coupon.

I used to break out a lot.  I use Origins now and barely break out.  I tried using the acne specific ones but they were too rough on my skin.  Are you moisturizing?  I know it seems weird but you need to moisturize to reduce breakouts.

Aveeno Active Naturals line. I use the scrub daily and it’s helped a ton!

AVON has a lot of really good cleansers for all age groups.  I’ve never really had a problem with breaking out, but a lot of my customers swear by avon’s Clearskin® Pore Penetrating Gel Cleanser.

I switched to Clinique three step a few months ago when I was getting some pretty nasty break outs.  It’s a little spendy, but it’s awesome.  I love it so much.  It also has a 30 day money back guarantee if it doesn’t work for you.

For myself I found the trick was using toner after using one of the scrubs with 2% Salic acid. The scrub clears out all the gunk in your pores and the toner soothes the skin while replacing the good oils that got striped out by the scrub. So says my cosmetologist friend. And it seems to work (even if you’re super cheap and switch products based on what’s on sale like I do).

I’ve used Cetaphil, Clinique (acne line and oily skin line), netrogena 3 step, Proactiv, and who knows what else (inlcuding proscriptions stiff back in the day when I was on my mom’s insurance and got dermatology care). I’ve had problems with all of these, mostly dry and irritated skin. I decided to make the switch to a milder system and I’m glad I did.

I use the Seaweed line from BodyShop. I also only cleanse and tone at night. In the morning, I moisturize (and at night too), but I don’t cleanse. It took a bit to get used to, but now my skin does not overproduce oil so I can control my acne better and I am not dehydrating it either by using to many harsh cleansers too often. Once a week, I use a scrub before cleansing.

I second the Aveeno Active Naturals collection!! I use the “daily detoxifying scrub” the  “purifying face wash” and the “nourishing moisturizer.”

My skin feels so silky smooth after the full regimine!

Mhm, I use Clarins exfoliating cleanser, combiantion skin/ oily facial toner with aloe vera and illuminating moisturizer morning and night. Also exfoliate twice a week and use a mud mask once a week.

I used to have really bad breakouts but has been controlled and definately cleared up to barely show after I started using Clarins and really making an effort into cleaning my skin, so for me it’s been a combination of both. It’s pricy though.

Proactive used to dry my skin really bad, Neutrogena grapefruit wash/daily scrub was pretty good for my skin too. Mario Badescu’s facial acne cleanser wash is pretty good aswell, (very mild but effective) but I keep going back to Clarins.

Perricone MD Nutritive Cleanser and my Clarisonic Mia2. If you don’t have a Clarisonic, you’re missing out. Expensive, but worth every penny! I use Philosophy’s Clear Days Ahead spot treatment, and swear by CeraVe lotion!

I like the Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit face wash with the scrubber beads. Clears  my face quickly and keeps it glowing.

Because someone brought up moisturizers, I’ve always loved Aveeno’s Clear Complexion moisturizer. I use it at night and it keeps my skin under control.
