I find them beyond annoying and really don’t understand why you always have to reply to all.  Its exactly why I contacted each person whose address I needed individually.  I didn’t think people would want their info our there like that.

I hate that too! Someone sent me one that I was constantly getting notifications for, it was so annoying. I figured out some way to stop getting the notifications, I think there was something at the bottom of the message for unsubscribing.

To me, it’s no different than mass e-mails. I just start a new message to reply if it’s with information I don’t want everyone can see. As a recipient, it doesn’t bother me, but I know plenty of people who are bothered by it. It’s no big deal to me – just leave the conversation once you’ve responded.

Drives me bonkers.  I always leave the conversation (there’s a button to do so) and personally message the person asking.  I hate when people send out group texts too.  Does the same thing.

Oh my god, yes, annoying, especially when it’s asking for address or stupid chain messages. I always leave the conversation right away.

I have asked the person to remove me so they get the hint that I hate it, LOL

Omgg, that is so annoying!  I especially hate when people add me to groups without my permission, and then proceed to send multiple messages per week to group “members”.  I had a Pure Romance party last month and the rep. added me to her Pure Romance group.  She sends messages weekly about products and promotions.  My long time friend is a 31 rep. and she sends the mass messages.  The really sucky part is anytime anyone else included in the message responds, I get their messages!  So, I see “1 new message” and I get all excited, and it’ll end up just being some person I do not know wanting to know where to place her order.

You can actually remove yourself from the thread. At the top right, there are buttons marked Messages and Actions. Click on Actions and select Leave Conversation from the dropdown menu. It should be about five options down in the menu. This will kick you out of the messages so you don’t get further updates. The caveat is that the other people can see that you left the message thread. I think it literally will say in a message, “So and so has left the conversation.” I do this all the time as I hate mass messages, especially when people start going on a tangent and my notifications/phone is lit up with a ton of replies.

I agree! When I needed addresses I just texted/called everyone! I get excited like someone wants to talk to me and then it’s just a mass message. Lol
