@jo.lee: EXACTLY!!! And as soon as I get my ring 😉 I guess I am going to be considered ‘tacky’ by some because the PIC is DEF going up, lol……

We all do it on here…. why not with people that we actually know (well most of them)?  There is a way to be tasteful about it.

It never even occurred to me that it would be seen as tacky! I didn’t use my ring shot as my profile picture, though. It was at the very end of a little photo album with pictures of my Fiance and me on different dates or at different moments in our relationship, like… The End (of the dating part, anyway)!

I guess the only way I could see it being tacky is if you’re much wealthier than all of your friends and have an enormous stone and are only posting it to show off your higher socioeconomic status and level of disposable income… or if your Fiance is much wealthier than you are, and it’s like, “Look what a rich sucker I snagged, baby”… or if you’re bragging nonstop to friends who are waiting impatiently for their own BFs to pop the question…

But I would never just assume that anyone was posting their engagement ring pics to send a message like that, and all of you bees are such sweethearts that I would still never think of your posting an e-ring pic as tacky. So I say, post away!

I think it’s ok to post one or two shots of the ring for your friends/family to see before you can show them in person. But, I think making your facebook profile picture your ring shot is a bit tacky. To me, that’s a bit too much like bragging. Think about it, everything you post, have posted, etc. will show your ring next to it. That’s just my opinion though Tongue out

It’s not tacky at all it’s your Facebook and your ring what you do with it is your business. If people don’t like it they can unfriend you hide you from their feed or skip over it and not look!
