Honestly this is one of my carndnal rules of facebook… Do NOT put I LOVE You*insert SO/cutesty nickname* forevazzz &hearts<3 and it seriously hits my gag reflex when ever i see it ( with the exceptions of anniverserys and happy things). I am not a fluff girl at all.
However, there are some days when i REALLY want to post something all cutsy as my FB status, or some silly love song, and i don’t. Mostly because a flock of my friends have sworn to me that if i do i will be smacked untill all sence returns to me. Usally the feeling passes, mostly because I have a friend that tagsthe “I LOVE You*insert SO/cutesty nickname* forevazzz &hearts<3<3<3” after EVERY POST. and i am cured.
So I am thinking… am i abnormal that I find these things obnoxious?
Do you post these things? ( if you do, sorry about the rant)
If you do how often do you post them?

I don’t post them at all, but one of my cousins who is recently married (they’re both 18) posts these fairly often and I think it’s cute from her. But I’d skip over it and ignore it if was anyone else. Other folks I know don’t even pay any attention to them so they don’t see the point in getting upset over it. Plus, you always have the option to hide that particular post.

I think that they are annoying, I have several couples on my FB that I swear those mushy updates are all they put on FB. Wouldn’t it just be better to put a note in their lunch box, or even a text?
And I never post things like that to his FB, but then he doesn’t have one. Even if he did, I would never do that.

It was not so much an ” I am upset” post, more like….ALL Of my friends do this ALL the time on my FB and I was wondering if i was weird.

I don’t do this….because I am not 17, haha. But seriously, I don’t think people my age do this. I’m 29. On occasion, one half of a long-term couple will post to the other half’s wall, a nice message (like an anniversary or a thank you for something) that includes an I Love You, and that’s sweet. But other than that, I don’t really see it so much, so maybe my friends are old and boring!

I’m a fairly private person, and just don’t feel like all of my facebook friends need to be privvy to my declarations of love to my husband. If it’s really for his benefit, I’ll just tell him personally. I actually kind of wonder what’s up with people that do that, if it’s an attention thing, or they’re over compensating… such a cynic, I know 😛

I don’t normally do it. But I have before like on birthday’s, Anniversary, ect.
Here is a recent one from my husband’s birthday on the 27th:
Puked three times today. I think I got food poisoning 🙁 but I want to wish my hubby a happy birthday I love you baby!
On a day to day, no I do not. I see sooo many people doing this though. Some several times a day!! I use to on myspace when my husband and I was younger. (started dating at 15 & 17.) lol

The only lovey status I’ve ever posted (did NOT include hearts) was from the day we got engaged, and I didn’t feel weird at all. I have posted “thank you” statuses where I brag a bit about something nice Fiance did for me– for example, “I’m a lucky girl- woke up to the snow cleaned off my car and a hot chocolate waiting next to bed for me”. I don’t particularly like it when other people post extra mushy statuses, so I can agree with you there.

i don’t do it and usually roll my eyes when i see it, unless i think the person is just a cutie patootie in general.
ALSO THANK YOU FOR HAVING “TURTLES” AS AN OPTION. IT IS ALWAYS THE ANSWER.

They drive me crazy! There are a couple people on my FB that post them everyday and I think they’re getting worse and worse 🙁 haha

Well, they usually aren’t my status, and it is very rare, but like today we are 1 month from our wedding so I put up a cutesy song on his wall and stuff. But it isn’t like all the time or anything

I totally had the engagement mush too… i think that is a situation where the occasion calls for it!
Honestly though my friend’s facebook status is “ I am microwaving speggitos. I LOVE YOU *SO first name middle name 1 middle name 2 middle name 3 Last name JR.* <3 <3 <3″
And this is an every post occurance.

@chasesgirl: That i think is a good reason to too. lol 2 of my friends just got married and she put a countdown everyday from a month away. It was cute and i was excited for her.
