***this is not meant to start a political discussion – it goes both ways***
I am getting really annoyed with the constant political postings on facebook. Believe what you want to believe, support who you want to support, but damn, do you have to post about it every 30 seconds? Do you really think the pictures and political ramblings you post are really going to change anyone’s mind?
Is this annoying to anyone else? I seriously may have to quit FB until November. Or at least take certain people out of my newsfeed!

@MissNachoLover: I don’t get the political ones (thank goodness) but I do get a lot of the ‘A real man doesn’t hit a woman!!’ and ‘Once you mee your true love you’ll underdstand why your past relationships didn’t work’ etc, pictured with “motivational” quotes on them. All from the same person. Alllllll the time!

There are some people on my feed like this … for the most part, they feel the need to get reassurance or start a fight. Hide ’em, ’cause it’s not going away any time soon!

Ugh, they are swful. I may get slammed for saying this but I also stayed off FB one 9/11. I know people mean well but the whole “Repost this or you are a terrorist” thing gets old.
You’re right. FB posts will not change someone’s political opinion.

You’re right, it isn’t going to change anyone’s opinion…if it does, they didn’t have a very strong opinion or enough knowledge in the first place.
I really can’t stand it when people’s profile pictures are changed to the sticker of the person they support. That is even more annoying to me.
I will say, one thing I haven’t minded being posted was the quiz about finding out who your ideals line up with. I’m cool with actual knowledge-based things being passed around so people can go take it and read up. Preferably NOT posting their results, but that’s neither here nor there.

My problem is the people who are posting the frequent, and most offensive/racist/biased/untrue things, are my own family members. Shudder!
