I would do it at least a few days in advance in case you have any reaction to the products they use.

I would say about 2 weeks. That way, if you have any reactions, or blemishes come to the surface your skin has time to heal. Your skin will still feel great for 3-4 weeks after your treatment.

I got a facial about 3 weeks ago and my skin still looks good, but it was really smooth and glowing for about a week after. I’m getting my facial before the wedding one week out. My esthetician is very gentle so I don’t worry as much about irritation as I do about redness from eyebrow and upper lip waxing. I had waxing go bad once and got burned accidentally by the hot wax, and it took a couple weeks to heal. Ever since then, I’m careful to not get waxed right before something important!

I would give it at least a couple weeks time just in case.  Unless you know/trust the person doing it then maybe you can make an exception.  I wouldn’t risk it myself.

I would have to agree with everyone else, get a test/trial done to see how your skin reacts…  Then either two weeks before or just the week before should be sufficient!  The last facial I got was AMAZING and I didn’t have ANY redness or any blemishes come up so I was good to go the next day, but I don’t expect that to always be the case 🙂

I’d have to say 2 weeks minimum. I got a routine facial several days before my e-pics and I broke out.  You never know how your face will react even with the usual facials. My make up artist needed to use SUPER heavy concealer to hid that sucker.
