@asianyoushi:  Naw, everybody at least once in their life has experienced this. It can be caused by stress and anxiety. If it lasts more than a week though then you need to see a dr. right away.

I get this when I’m stressed, so that probably all it is, but if it doesn’t go away or gets worse I would get it checked out. Might be worth taking a break and relaxing!

Have you ever had Bells Palsy?

My face does this when I don’t realize how stressed I am. Really annoying but the best thing I have been able to do for it is it stop everything and just relax for a few.

@solsticedark:  Exactly the same with me – I don’t realise I’m stressed until my face starts twitching. I think my body knows before my mind does!

@aliciaspinnetYep, its either facial twitching, or I will realize how bad my jaw hurts from clenching it. (and I will have thought I wasn’t stressing before hand until one or the other starts.)

Best thing for me has always been just a few minuites of meditation and reflecting on what is subconciously stressing me out.

@asianyoushi:  That sounds annoying!  Have you been stressed?  Sleep-deprived?  Have you had caffeine?  These are the most common causes of facial muscle twitching.  Do you feel numbness or tingling in your face?  If not, just make a note on your calendar and don’t worry about it.

Try taking a vitamin. Could be a potassium imbalance. I used to get this when I was in high school, and taking a vitamin every day knocked it out.

I was also going to suggest Bells. This was my first symptom followed by altered taste about a day before it hit

My right eye twitches when I’m super stressed. Maybe it’s stress related?
