It feels nice and smoother… for about day to me.  I’ve also never been one to get regular facials.. so maybe that makes a difference?  I dont usually get them cause I dont think its worth it.

My skin breaks out after!!!  Not for me.

I love getting a facial. Where I go they really do get the gunk out of my pours so I know it’s worth it.

It’s normal to break out after because the person should be pushing the dirt up to the surface. Sometimes it doesn’t get all out. I normally don’t but my skin is generally clear.

My philosophy on spas is: Yes, go for it, always 🙂

I’ve been lucky with my skin so I don’t need facials, although I have dry skin so I do benifit from getting a deep hydration treatment. Plus it is a nice thing to do for yourself to relax. Try it once and see what you think – just make sure the spa you are going to is good so you can determine if this is something you like.

I’ve never had a facial, but I just bought a Groupon for a package of facials because my hair stylist was raving about one of her clients who is in her 40s and looks about 10 years younger, which she attributed to monthly facials since she was young.

Who knows if it’s really because of facials. Maybe it’s just good genes, but it was enough to pique my interest. There are so many great Groupons for facials that I figured it’s worth a shot. I have heard that breaking out after is supposed to happen because it clears everything out, as Ice Skate said, so don’t let that scare you. Just plan ahead.

I get a facial about every other month. I love them. I honestly prefer them to massages because they are just as relaxing and my skin looks noticeably better afterwards. I think its the kind of thing you need to do regularly though to help keep your skin in the best condition. Just getting a facial one time isn’t going to do much for its long term appearance. I think groupons are a great way to try one out and see what you think!

I think it’s totally worth it!! I used to have this monthly membership at a spa and my skin never looked better. Unfortunately, it was a bit $ and was pretty short lived. BUT I don’t know if you’ve ever looked at the Philosophy brand of skin products?

I use both the Microdelivery exfoliating facewash and the microdelivery peel pads (I cut those in half and it’s plenty). The results are awesome and come pretty darn close (if not the same) as when I was getting facials!

Yes, they are a little pricier than normal facewashes, but for the results it’s totally worth it. One facial is more $ than the price of both of those… and the products have lasted me longer than a month!

I think it’s worth it… but I wouldn’t do just one right before the wedding just b/c you don’t know how your skin may react. I love getting facials – they’re so relaxing to me and I think getting them regularly has helped improve my skin. I only get a facial about once every month or every other month. The girl who does my facials never goes too harsh adn knows my skin fairly well by now.

A facial from my dermatologist leaves my skin amazing! Glowing, smooth, and even-toned.

However, the two times I tried getting facials at spas, I broke out terribly!

I like to give myself a facial every two weeks- not like the dermatologist, but much cheaper

I’ve never done a facial before, because I’ve always had clear skin. But I really want to get one just to feel pampered before the wedding, I wonder if I’ll see a difference.

I usually have clear, even skin and I love facials!  The whole experiance is relaxing (until the dreaded extractions=there is always something).  I usually get them when I have been really bad to my skin (not removing my makeup and not moisturizing) to jumpstart my face and get it hydrated.  There are all sorts of options but if you want to feel pampered get the works-paraffin dips for your hands and feet and a lip treatment.

I get monthly microderm abrasion or chemical peels. My skin does so much better when I keep up on those treatments. I’ve never liked the spa type treatments because I have sensitive skin, but I love the medspa type stuff.
