Faint line on opk?

No, I wouldn’t. Could you possibly switch to digital and see if you can get a positive on those?

How many times a day are you testing? I had to test twice a day to catch my surge. 

Unfortunately the line does have to be as dark as the control line to count as positive, though if it’s nearly as dark, it can indicate you’re coming up to your surge. A faint but visible line on an OPK is a negative (eg it could just capturing natural fluctuations in your LH levels).

Maybe you tests are defective? I think you should always have a line. If there is no line I think it even says on the package that it’s an invalid test.

Are you sure you don’t have a defective batch of tests? I’ve always had at least a faint line on OPKs.

Get the digital tests. Seriously love them and they’re so easy to use.
