Hi Ladies! I’m only off birth control one month but I was supposed to get a visit from AF monday, 4 days later, no sign so I was like could it have happened THAT fast (i know it can but still). So Monday i took a clear blue digital test, Not Pregnant. Today i decided to try a First Response and as you can see in the pic the pregnant line is pretty prominent. My concern is all the reviews i read about this brand producing a lot of false negatives! What’s everyone’s thoughts????

that’s positive. Congrats 🙂

that’s a blazing positive! Monday was probably too early for a digital to be positive, hcg doubles every other day so it will probably be positive now.

Have you guys heard anything about these false positives with this brand? I’m noticing from other research that a false positive is very unlikely but these reviews have me second guessing!!

I have heard that frers haven’t been the best lately. But that is a pretty strong test line to be a false positive. You can always take another to ease your mind!

With a line that strong, do you think a digital test would be accurate at this point? Considering Monday it was a negative?
Does anyone have a go to brand?

The false positives people are getting are very faint evap lines. Something that prominent is not a false positive…its a positive positive! A digital should be accurate now.

That is a super positive! Congrats Bee!

with a line that strong, yes a digital should be able to give an accurate result. Take a digital if it makes you feel more certain. But I’ve seen the false positives and they’re really more like indentation lines. An impression line with no dye. Blue dye tests are worse. They do dye runs that are really misleading bc the line will be blue and everything with a false positive. Anyway. You’re preggers. Congrats!

That’s a Positive.
False Positives are almost NEVER that clear. If it puts you at ease you can take another test from a different brand – maybe a Dollar Store stick test and then tomorrow take another digitial test.
When I got my first positive it also said Not Pregnant on the digital but positive on the stick test; there was just not enough hcg to tip the digital over that day.

That’s a positive. What people complain about in reviews as false positives are the squinters that are faint evap lines. Your line is a blazing positive. And two days can be all it takes. I got a negative test and two days later (after implantation spotting) got a positive. I’m now 14 weeks pregnant.
