I didn’t.  I spent a bit of time around the pool the week before the wedding because me and all my girlfriends were off work, and there were surprisingly few wedding chores to do, but no tan to speak of.

I am pale, but get a decent (ok…. decent for a redhead) tan in the summer. I probably will go to the tanning bed, but mostly because I have swim suit lines left over from the summer. I’m definitely not trying to get dark – I just want to be one color haha.

I burn like no ones business (seriously, 30 minutes outside and Im bright red burnt!).  So I didnt “tan” but I did do a light airbrush tan. Nothing big, you cant even tell in the pics, it was just for my satisfaction that it made everything more evenly toned (I have very pink skin, so blotches and whatnot are apparent).

sure if you want to go get skin cancer then go tan.  But having had skin cancer twice now and a number of other skin biopsies I would never ever go there again.  And I’ve never stepped foot in a tanning bed.  I’ve only had my problems because of the sun.  Tanning beds are MUCH worse.

My photographer told me not to get too tanned.  She said  tanned faces don’t come out good in photos.  Since I am getting married at the end of the summer, I may do some fake ‘n bake just to even out tan lines.  I plan on covering my face.

Nope. I use self-tanner on occassion, and I finally find one I LOVE that’s natural looking, so I will be using that 🙂

I am super pale naturally and am going back and forth between getting a spray tan or not.  Got our engagement pictures backs and I looked like a ghost compared to my Fiance who has darker coloring so I may get a light spray tan just so I don’t look as pale but I still look like myself.

I will be my usual pale self for my wedding.  I don’t mind being pale.  The only thing I am nervous about is getting sunburned during my outdoor pictures lol. (Yes, I burn THAT easily).

Nope, too many pre-cancerous moles removed over the last two years.  I will be significantly paler than FH but that’s sort of a given considering the races we are. Will have to remember to put sunblock on since our reception will be outside.

I will be spending lots of time in the sun before the wedding to build up some color (slathered in SPF, of course). I tan very easily and I will not be using a tanning bed!

I’m crazy pale, with red hair to boot!  I did the tanning thing a few times — it really didn’t make that big of a difference, to be honest.  My body just doesn’t get tan.  Period.  So I’m just gonna rock what my momma gave me (and maybe utilize some bronzer in a few strategic places).

I used the sun beds quite a bit before my sisters wedding a couple of years ago and started to notice I was getting a lot more moles appear on my skin, so stopped and carried on with fake tan. I will also be “faking it” for my wedding next year. I get a nice natural colour (with less redness!) through fake tan and couldn’t put myself at risk knowing what happened before! It’s also seems to cover some of the blemishes in my skin! (two in one!)

For some reason tanning always seems to make you look healthier! Although I do think people who can pull of the paler skin look really classic!

I have heard about putting bronzer in “strategic” places to enhance things……does anyone know a little more about this?

you should look into getting a spray tan. For my sisters wedding I went to a place a where a person sprays you with a tan (DO NOT GO INTO THE SPARY TAN BOOTHS!) and it was flawless. I did it again for my engagement pictures. It doesnt look in your face tan. Just enough color to make you beautiful 🙂 I plan on going there again for my wedding.

Figured I’d just add to an older post instead of starting my own. I’m a redhead bride and just started tanning today – 8 weeks before the wedding. I’m a pretty pale girl and have been wary about tanning. I’m really not even looking to get tan. I just need to get rid of my halter top bathing suit lines for my strapless dress (3 summers of working at a pool 5 days a week has given me tan lines even with SPF 80 on everyday).

I’ve always been against tanning…. but the gym I recently joined has tanning as a part of the membership, so I figured, “Why not?” I’m already paying for it.

I only started with 5 minutes… and I think I got a little bit of a burn haha I’m pretty sure after the wedding I will NEVER tan again.
