I work with this one kid in the morning (he’s busy on the computer) and he just told me that he gets $20 a week for allowance. I was like, “What! That is so much! What do you do with it?” He said, “I buy food and treats for my dog. If I kept it I would spend it all on candy, so it’s better for the dog to have it.”
Then he said, when I asked him what he was getting his mom for Christmas, “We might go to every Kiss begins with K.”
Ha. He’s in seventh grade, by the way, so it’s not cute as much as sweet.

Aw! That is so sweet. So many obnoxious tweens in the world, it is nice to see some of them are still sweet.

That is so sweet. Kids really can restore your faith in humanity.

Awwww that’s cute AND sweet! Right now I’m kind of flip-flopping between having kids and not having kids and that story just flipped me to the maybe side for now. That is a very good boy.

<3 awwww reminds me of my son… He buys things for our kitties, or saves money to buy people gifts. Every once in a while though he buys himself a book. He get’s $5 a week though not $20… that is a lot. lol He’s only 7 though…

@peachacid: I love this! My mom is a middle school teacher, and I’ve heard so many horror stories about the kids in this age group … It’s nice to see that there are still sweet kids out there.
Thanks for sharing!
