I’ll be getting a few facials (and maybe microderm abrasion) I worked at a day spa before and just love it. It’s a great way to relax. I may also get a couples massage or so. Wedding planning can be stressful! haha. I’ll get a mani pedi but with real nails and I’ll get fake eyelashes. I may get some hair treatments (protein treatments, conditioning treatments) those are generally really cheap. You can even do some at home by putting raw egg or mayo in your hair and leave it in for about 20 minutes…but the longer you leave it in the better. *i always make sure to wash it REALLY well after lol!) I’ll also wax so i don’t have to be bothered too much with shaving while on honeymoon. So I’m pretty much going all out. I’m usually really low maintenance. but i figure if you ever deserve to be pampered it’s for your wedding. πŸ™‚

OH! if you’re thinking of getting a facial and don’t get them regularly (like weekly or monthly) do NOT get one the month of your wedding. Often a facial can make you break out if you don’t get them normally.

I got a mani and pedi the day before the wedding.

8 days  before I got a brazilian wax and some hair treatments.

The day of the wedding I did false lashes.

I’m super low maintenance, so I probably won’t do any of these (could you add that as a poll option?). If I invest in anything to spoil myself, it’ll totally be a massage for that relaxation and stress relief. I like to do my own stuff at home if I ever do them (manis/pedis) and I don’t wax, just shave. If anything, I might try some fake lashes, but I think I’ve got the right mascara to do the trick.

@Earlybride: if you have sensitive skin it’ll probably just be a bit more uncomfortable and make your skin red. Not everyone needs it. I would only get it bc i’d want my skin to be a little more smooth and I have oily skins so that would help. If you want it to smooth out or help with acne or even some slight wrinkles it’s recommended you get a package of several sessions, (usually sold in 3, 5, or 8s i believe..though that will vary from spa to spa) and you’d want to get the final treatment several weeks before the wedding to avoid any redness or flaking skin. (it can flake a few days or so after and you aren’t supposed to wear make up for about 24 hours..though tinted moisturizer is okay)

Facials because I love them and it is a GREAT excuse πŸ™‚

The rest I dont enjoy. I love my skin pale and I stay out of the sun as much as possible to maintain my light beige skin, it looks amazing without a tan honestly.

Tanning just makes me look dirty unfortunately.

@LessIsMoore: pale skin is LOVELY! i’m naturally olive complexion and tan really easily but i do get fair by staying out of the sun…i wont be tanning for mine either.

@shools164: I am the same! I have olive skin too and I tan immediately rather than burn, but yep I just prefer my skin tan free πŸ™‚

Bikini wax 3 days before wedding – it can be a little red/swollen/uncomfortable for a day or so – so I would recommend the wax a few days before the wedding.

I got a manicure and pedicure the day before the wedding with a couple of my bridesmaids to relax.

I got a mani, pedi, and had my eyebrows waxed. I had my make up done and my make up artist used false lashed. I loved them!

I love fake eyelashes! i wore them in my engagement pic session and they looked really good. I always get pedicures ( speaking of… i need to go get one soon) im not a big manicure person because i bite my nails so the paint always chips off.
