ok so, this weekend me and my fiance went shopping for some wedding decorations. Well I came across bouquets that are pre-made with fake flowers. I always hated fake flowers, but I bought 2 bouquets. I dont know why i all of a sudden decided to buy them, i think it was the easier and cheaper factor. But I’m still deciding whether to keep them or not.
So i need your Bee’s help….anyone who made or had fake flower bouquets for their wedding can i see pics? Maybe it will make me want to keep mine.
(PS: does that mean all my flowers have to be fake???)

In answer to your question no all flowers do not need to be fake. I did fake flowers for my bouquet and my Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets. I got them from this web site

@s.renea9: Honestly I just couldn’t see spending a lot of money on flowers for the bouquets/bouts. My whole order from the site in my previous post was like $200.00.
I did have real flowers at the church for the alter. So you can mix the two. That and I kept my bouquet and is sitting on a shelf with our cake toppers.

I haven’t finished the ribbons, but this is my mock-up for bridal bouquet.
I think you can have a beautiful mix of fresh/faux flowers. We are doing a week long destination wedding, so I don’t want to be worrying about floral delivery/survival! I’ll be doing a mix of faux florals and dried flowers to add texture.

All of the flowers at my wedding were handmade out of tissue paper. They looked great!
(the colours are washed out in this pic)
My bouquet. I ended up adding rhinestones to the “petals” and changing the ribbon to something a bit more fancy
Our boutonnieres were also made of paper! 🙂

here are the inspiration pics i gave my friend, she is making my bouquets, every flower will be handmade…but I like the fact that i can keep my bouquet and it’s not going to die. and lets be honest, they are cheaper and fake flowers have come such a long way from years past.

I didnt ever like fake flowers either cause I immmediatly think of the gross fake looking ones they sell in the dollar store lol but I’m getting fake flowers for my destination wedding cause I want them to last after the wedding as a keepsake. I wish I could post a pic but the website wont let me copy the pics. They make fake flowers look so real now that people might now even know yours are fake!

@DeathByDesign: omg our wedding looked like a lot of fun. Gorgeous picture of you also!!! Loved the bright colored “flowers” =]
@sweetchiquita12: I hope no one notices, I really dont care anymore. I’m paying for everything myself, so everything i get is cheap…fake flowers just fit the budget better.

My girls had real flowers, but mine were fake because I wanted to keep my bouquet forever:

Now, since i bought my bridesmaids bouquets pre-made. I think they are a little boring, plain white roses. my colors are purple & white/ivory. I was thinking of sticking some beads or something in the girls bouquets, like a splash of purple, but i’m snot sure what to use? Anyone have an idea??
