I’m trying to cut some cost for my wedding. I have decided to use fake flowers for the wedding decor and let guests take them home at the end of the night. But I was still on the fence about doing fake flowers for my bouquet. Would that be tacky? Or is it a good idea? Help…

I’m doing artificial because I want to keep them. Many brides opt for artificial because theya are cheaper, and they really are. I actually ordered mine last week, and they should be ready to ship tomorrow.

Here are some examples of the artificial ones the seller I got mine from has done :

@HUstrawberry: if you are already doing them for the centerpieces, then why not for the bouquets. My florist quoted me $450 for my three bouquets and cake topper (although I was very specific over what I wanted.) If I had a better use for the $450, sure fake flowers would be a good option. But, for me, flowers were one of my top priorities. I would never ever judge a bride who chose to use fake/silk flowers because we dont all have the same priorities and there is nothing tacky about it.

Nope not tacky … well I don’t think so as I used fake flowers at my wedding. The best part ? they are the centerpiece on our dinningroom table. The BMs and FGs all got to keep theirs too 😀

The set I ordered cost me $175 + $10 shipping, and I got 14 pieces :
1 bridal bouquet
1 toss round bouquet
1 MoH bouquet
1 bridesmaid bouquet
1 grooms bout
1 best man bout
1 groomsman bout
3 father bouts
2 mother corsages
1 cake topper
and 1 swag for above my wedding arch.
they also included enough rhinestone mesh to go around my cake, but I won’t be using it.

Those are gorgeous! And I do like the idea of a bouquet that’ll never die. Very relieved at your responses and I’m going to do the silk flowers for my bouquet. Yay me! Yay pockets!

@jenilynevette: where did you order yours from if you don’t mind me asking?

@HUstrawberry: I ordered mine off a seller on ebay, they’ll make just about anything you want, just gotta sift through their bouquets and find something you like, and then you can tweak it from there.
This is the seller if you want to look at their bouquets.

@HUstrawberry: I’m using fake real touch flowers for my destination wedding. So no not tacky to me! They look so real you wouldn’y even know they were fake until you touched them!
