I was wondering if any of you guys had fake/silk flowers for your weddings. I love how beautiful and fragrant fresh flowers are, but I am really, really struggling justifying spending thousands on something that will die by the end of the night. So I’ve been looking at other options.
I found a highly-rated Etsy seller who does entire wedding packages of silk flowers (17 pieces, including bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, mothers’ corsages, and groom/groomsmen boutonnières) for less than $300! The flowers look really pretty in the pics I’ve seen, so I’ve been leaning toward this option.
However I have a well-meaning married friend who insists that silk flowers will look fake/tacky in photos and I will regret not going for the real thing. It’s making me nervous and second guess myself!
Any married bees out there who had fake flowers for their wedding? (Especially your bouquet) I’d love to see pics and hear opinions 🙂

All of my flowers were fake, and I loved them.

I was going to post a few more, but my internet is being slow. I’ll post a few more examples tomorrow. 🙂

I’ve seen them, and they look great!
Super curious about this etsy seller; it sounds like a great deal! Will you link them?

I didn’t care much about flowers and my mom is very crafty and was super excited about my wedding, so that was one of the things I just turned over to her (after showing her a handful of Pinterest photos). I think they looked good both in photos and real life, and a bonus is I still have them. I believe they were ordered from China and called “real touch” or similar. (I’m personally not fond of the sparkly clover in the middle but my mom put it in since I got married on 3/17 and I didn’t want to say no after she’d done it):

I ordered my bouquet but haven’t used it yet. It has real touch roses with pearls. I originally ordered a sola flower bouquet but it was damaged in transport and the seller is refusing to refund the money.

Thanks for the link! My bad if it’s against the rules. May the WeddingBee gods/mods rain their fury upon me and not you if indeed it’s a violation.

Mine were fake 🙂 I’m in Australia and had them made by a fantastic lady Robyn whose store is called Faux Flower Boutique.
I was SO happy with them when they arrived! I went with Australian native flowers, and they were even more perfect in real life than in the photos Robyn sent me during the process of her putting them together. I love having my bouquet in a vase on our dining table now, it makes me smile whenever I see it.
Don’t have my professional photos back yet sorry, but here is what I do have..
My bouquet 🙂
Another shot with the corsages for our Mums and the buttonholes for my husband and our Dads.
Also had faux flowers in our centrepieces – a combination of wax flowers, wattle and dollar gum leaves. This is a work in progress pic from when I was DIYing the jars haha…

I used silk for these and loved them. I also had tons of compliments and no one could tell they weren’t real!

Can you share the esty seller? I agree on not wanting to spend $$$ over flowers that will be used for a night and would love to see the packages.
Also, I saw this ad on FB and am in love with them so far. They’re fake bouquets made from wood!

I also couldn’t justify spending thousands on flowers. We did fresh flowers for my bouquet and the bridesmaids bouquets, and buttonholes for the men. I went with crystal centrepieces, and bought fake flowers for the main table. I now have the fake flowers in my home.
I don’t have any pictures in my cell, will upload tonight.

And ooh, I hadn’t thought of wood! I will have to look into that!

I’m getting married on Saturday and am using Something Borrowed Blooms. Obviously I haven’t seen them in person yet, but they have oustanding reviews and look stunning. They’re also super nice and will email or chat on the phone with you anytime to go over questions or concerns you might have. Seriously, check out their website! They have several different styles without overwhelming you.
