For the professional fake nails, you need to have them removed.  If you just tear them off, you are going to destroy your nails.

I got something called “Virtual Nails” (I’m not sure if it’s available everywhere, though)… theoretically you can just pop them off after the adhesive starts wearing down in a week or two, or you can remove them by soaking your nails in acetone (not super healthy, but won’t damage your nails as badly as removing acrylics, because they don’t scratch up your nail bed to apply them). They’re kind of like press-on nails on steroids. 🙂

if you only have them for like 1 or 2 weeks (no multiple fillings) and get them removed there should be minimal damage as long as u let the pros take them off for u.  its when they are on for weeks and months that the real nails start to get so thin and damaged.

I’ve never had falsies that came off and left my nails decent for public viewing. I’m actually having to think about what I’ll be doing for my wedding, since as a nurse I can’t have them at all.
