I just found out from my venue that I can’t use real rose petals. I was going to line either side of the aisle with them (not doing a running). Do you think fake petals are worth doing? Just not sure how it will look .. (I’m planning to use white, if it makes a difference).
Also – any idea of how many to use, for coverage on both sides of the aisle?

Did you confirm that fake rose petals are ok? Because a lot of venues don’t want anything (real or fake) spread on the floor (including runners) as it is a liability for them if someone slips on something and falls.

We aren’t allowed to use real ones either. If you choose to use them to line the aisle, you will need a ton of them. Go to Michaels or Joanns and look at the boxes of them and think about how thick you would want them. Personally, I don’t think it would be worth the cost or the work. You would have to have someone lay them out for you and then they would have to pick them all up. They do look really nice lining the aisle, but if you are on a budget, I think it would be cost prohibitive.

@Mrs.KMM: yes, fake are ok.
@noritake22: I found some packages at the dollar tree (I think in 400 count), I just can’t figure out how many to use, etc. I love how it looks, but I agree on the pain of clean up!
