A lot of blogged weddings look real and are huge sources of inspiration (<3 blogs) but sometimes the engagement photos and wedding pictures just look a little too much like a magazine photo shoot. What do you think?

I don’t think that the reputable photographers would fake a shoot. Someone who isn’t so reputable, maybe so.

They’re usually really upfront when it’s an inspiration shoot. Beyond that, keep in mind they pick the best of the best and Photoshop all the pictures.

The whole shoot?! That’d be crazy. I know people are staged within the wedding.
BUt i do know a lot of beginning photographers get a friend and her husband to dress up, throw them on their new blog, and call them “wedding shots”.

ahh, I’ve never noticed the tag ‘inspiration shoot’, that would explain it a lot. It’s just everyone once and a while on blogs like oncewed (which I love, so no hate) it seems like it’s more of an inspiration shoot than a real wedding. I should be a more careful reader

and apparently my typing skills need some improvement too 🙂

A lot of blogs like stylemepretty.com and some times oncewed.com will blog inspiration shoots, these are set up but usually labeled as so. The others are just by awesome photographers and couples who spent a great deal of time on their details. Our wedding is low of the guest count majorly detailed. I’ve also shot weddings where the couples are super crafty and they are heavy on the details. A lot of the higher end weddings hire wedding coordinators and stylists to make their wedding picture perfect.
