Go to swarvoski…they have pretty rings there. You really shouldn’t wet them but I have in the past and so far so good.  I have the RARE and ANGELIC ring.

You should be able to find a nice one at a jeweler that is inexpensive but real gold. Just as long as you get a CZ or inexpensive stone. Or you can try Macy’s or Boscov’s

justyourbasicpumpkinluvr:  I don’t have a vacation ring, but I DO have other cheapies that I wear on my right hand just because I like them – you can paint the inside of the ring with clear nail polish and it will stop it from turning your finger green!

i know you specifically asked for places to get a “fill in ring” but i just wanted to add in my advice 🙂 i actually got engaged while on a tropical beach vacation, and i too i was super nervous of ruining/dulling the sparkle, etc. Fast forward a month or two…. i took out an insurance policy on it which gave me SO much peace of mind. Obviously you dont want to go swimming with it, ever, but just wearing it on vacation/out of the country doesnt phase me anymore b/c i have that peace of mind knowing im covered. Also, you could get a cheap one from Charming Charlie – i think they have pretty good quality stuff there and it shouldnt turn your finger green.

Try berricle, etsy, qvc etc.. Sterling silver rings shouldn’t turn your finger green, but plated brass probably will. Rose gold plating may not last long, and it looks kind of icky when it starts to fade (IMO).

I got a rubber ring for my vacation ring. I’ve had silver tarnish in pool water and I wanted something I didn’t have to worry about AT ALL. My ering is a band and my rubber ring is too. So I didn’t go too different.

Pandora has some cute rings for under 100 that are silver or plated.

I never got this concept- I just wear my wedding band if its someplace thats sketchy, where Ill be doing active stuff or I just prefer to be lowkey. Criminals arent gemologists… its not fun to be mugged for a CZ either!

I recently bought a silicone ring cover called carering. There’s other brands too like ring wrapper. This is good to keep your ring secure if u want to take it with you but not worry about it dropping off or getting damaged

Berricle has great “fake” rings that sparkle like the the real thing and won’t turn your finger green. I have one that I use as my vacay ring.

I was worried about this too, so I bought the Ring Cozy before our trip to Mexico a couple months ago.  It made me feel so much better about having my ring on in the water and not worrying about losing it!

We are avid backpacker/hikers. So we got QALO rings! You don’t have to worry about them at all. Travel everywhere work out- lose them who cares?! only 25$ LOL They come in a cute neoprene zip pouch to store your real rings to keep safe.

I love them – We got matching forest green ones off amazon. lol I want to get every color. Comfy and awesome. Also he wears his at work because he is a military guy and some of his job has him working on dangerous decks. He doesnt want to snag his ring and ruin his hand. This is medical grade silicone and will break when stretched dangerously in a snag situation.

Check it out !

here is the online image i found of his colored one online. the mens ring is wider.

I have 2 from Berricle and I actually love them both! They both look different from my E-ring! They are just fun!

sparklesalways:  +1 on this. If I feel the need to downplay my ring(s), I’ll just wear a plain band. But my most expensive stones are moissanite . . . easy enough to replace and no worries!
