I always make stuffed apples… you can make them either sweet or savory! For sweet, do a mix of oats, brown sugar, raisins, pecans or walnuts, etc. with lots of butter. For savory, do a sage stuffing with walnuts, celery and carrots. Delish!

I love apple season!

http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/2008/09/moms-apple-cake/ I made this for an office meeting not long ago and it was devoured.

http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/2008/04/whole-wheat-apple-muffins/ Made these for the 2nd time yesterday. Om nom nom.

http://www.thekitchn.com/quick-onebowl-recipe-apple-gou-128940 This sounds like a totally bizarre combo for a cookie, but I swear, they are addictive.

I found this recipe from a German cookbook and made this a few weeks ago: Applekuchen

Kuchen is a single layer cake

ETA: The cookbook I own has many apple recipes. So, if you are looking for a main course dish with apples, please PM me. 🙂 I also have other apple cupcake/cake recipes, but WeddingBee’s TOS wouldn’t allow me to share my food blog.
