According to Sephora, here are some of the beauty trends that are in this fall (based on what was seen on the runways during Fashion Week):
- Extreme Smoky Eyes
- Grey eyeshadow
- Dark Lips
- The “Cat Eye”
- Candy Colors
- Bold Brows
- Big Hair
Check out the article here, with photos:
Will you be incorporating any of these trends in your Wedding Day look? Or are you going for a less “trendy” look?

Oooh….I may get a grey eye-shadow to change up from my everyday color. The only other “trend” that I’d consider would be Big Hair. I LOVE how my hair looks when my hairdresser blows it out to all heck. 🙂 I wish I could figure out how to make it look so good myself….sigh.
I’m just not as trendy as I was when I was younger…lol….I pick what looks good on me as opposed to what’s “in”.

Another beauty trend, seen at the Teen Choice Awards is gold eye shadow. I actually think this works for wedding day makeup–it can look really glowing and pretty.

I like the gold eyeshadow better the greys and big hair is a little extreme for me.

I like the gold shadow, but it doesn’t look good on everybody. Just look at the link Jessie sent to prove that. 🙂

Another big fashion trend with lipstick that started this past Spring is moving away from ultra shiny lip gloss to a matte for day and a sparkle or frosted/pearl for night.
I’m so glad. I don’t like the greasy mouth look.

Oh, Greta, I’m happy about matte, too.

Matte is also “in” this fall for nail colors. Both OPI and Essie are doing matte colors and finishes.
Personally, I’m not as big of a fan of this look, I prefer a shiny polish. Also, you’re not supposed to put top coat on (ruins the effect) so there’s no way this would last too long.

Yeah… not a big fan of those new trends. But that is just me. I have never been able to pull off any trendy looks! I’m just going to stick with what I know for my wedding since I will be doing my own make up.
