Fiance and I were talking this weekend about where we would go on our honeymoon. We are thinking of taking a small trip late October for a few days in the US and then the next year taking a trip somewhere out of the country when we have the option of a longer trip. I would love to hear where others had their honeymoon in the US (or plan to honeymoon)? Include pictures of your favorite part/area of the trip if you can!

We honeymooned in Maui in September. We have both also vacationed separately in Hawaii during September – November. Can’t go wrong with Hawaii!

We are getting married Nov 20, and we are going to Gatlinburg, TN for our honeymoon. It’s going to be a little chilly, but shouldn’t be snowing or anything yet. We are from Louisiana, so driving in snow is scary for us!!

We are getting married on October 22, 2016 – we are planning a road trip honeymoon from Chicago to Yellowstone – we know it will be cold there and it may snow, but it’s supposed to be a great time to go!

We just got married and we did the same thing as you. We had our “mini-moon” in Lake George, NY and are going to Italy next year for a big honeymoon.

They all sound so lovely! We were thinking maybe somewhere like California but would have no idea where to go. I also just got back from a work trip to Phoenix and fell in love! Anyone been to either place (or live in either place?!) and have suggestions of good places to stay or things to do in october?

We went to Vermont in October. It was amazing! If you want more info, I’m happy to share where we stayed and what we did.

I live in Phoenix. Sadly, I haven’t had much time to explore (just moved here), but Scottsdale seems to be where everyone stays when they come here. Sedona is amazing, though. Can’t go wrong in San Diego either.
We planned an east coast trip for our honeymoon, but it never happened (husband is military and got called away). Our plan was to fly into NYC and spend 2 weeks driving up the coast to Maine, stopping in random places along the way.

pinkprincess88: If you want to come to California, I highly recommend for that time of year. The weather here is gorgeous right now (I’ve lived in Southern California for my entire 25 years of life). Currently 80 degrees and the sun is shining! You could do Santa Barbara for a mellow beach town get away, I highly suggest that, very popular honeymoon area if you’re in California. You could also do wine country(mind you there’s several, you have Temecula, Napa, Paso Robles, etc.).
