If you were having an outdoor wedding in the fall amidst fall foliage, what color schemes would you consider? I feel like the typical red/orange/brown/etc would just blend in with the spectacular foliage. Thoughts?
I thought maybe champagne, pale gold, and then some sort of darker contrast shade?
Also, what if you were wearing a blush pink dress or a pale blue dress? Would either of these options change your opinion? Thanks!

I’m doing plum, lime, chocolate and ivory for my October wedding. The colors you have listed would be lovely too especially with a blush dress.

I’m doing eggplant, dark red, and bright green.
I like your colors! For the darker one…maybe navy? Or dark green?

My son’s wedding theme is fall colours and I’m helping my daughter in law to be with the planning. So we going for typical fall foliage colours plus ivory and a hint of bitter chocolate brown. To be honest, I’m not sure how a pale blue dress would fit in but I’m prepared to be proved wrong!

I love that inspiration pic above, because I love the addition of the yellow & green to normal fall colors. Particularly the green, because I feel like it really make it all pop!

@stuckinwonderland: I love the idea of eggplant purple as a fall color and I think it would look lovely with champagne, pale gold, and a blush pink wedding dress.
Or, if you’re set on a pale blue wedding dress, I’d make the dark accent color a deep chocolate brown (to go with the champagne and pale gold)

@stuckinwonderland: Im doing navy blue and a deeper red color with pops of silver, gold and cream accents….possibly some orange accents….but i love the navy and red in contrast to the fall colors that will be around for our october wedding….

We are not getting married outside, but we are having pics outside. I wanted a soft, romantic feel for the wedding and didn’t think the typical fall colors of red, organge, and brown worked with that. So instead I went with a muted version of each color – pale pink, pale peach, and champagne. I think something like that would also work with a blush dress!
In My Humble Opinion though, I don’t think pale blue would work against fall foilage. Hope that helps!

Blues are my favorite for fall weddings and what I want someday. I think the bridesmaid dresses above are the perfect shade…not a fan of dark blues, navy or anything too light

I agree that pale blue does not work with fall foliage. I love the eggplant purple idea.
Our vow renewal will be in the fall but not outside. Our color scheme includes fiery oranges, brown and a bit of red.

@kansas_nurse: I have similar colors! I love that deep red. It’s hard to find and describe, but I love it. My main colors are that red and midnight blue (so like darker than navy) with accents of mustard, silver, and a muted purple. It’s nice to see another bride with rich colors. I love pastels, but I’m so sick of them

I’m doing navy, peach and orange with some gray accents. I wanted something that would go with the fall foliage but not just do fall colors. This is my inspiration. Sorry it’s so big. I don’t know how to resize on my ipad.
