My Fiance and I have decided to do a small carrot cake for the 2 of us, and do a selection of fall deserts for the reception. I want to do pumpkin pie and apple crisp, but have also thought of possibly cider and doughnuts.
Anyone have a favorite fall desert or suggestion of a thrid desert we could do?

We always make pumpkin dip and serve it as kind of like a desert appetizer with ginger snaps.

Pecan pie or pecan tartlets? That’s my favorite fall dessert becuase I really don’t like pumpkin flavored stuff.

@MsBlueBerry – oh yum! What is in your pumpkin dip? Will you share?

I had pecan tassies, along with various cakes, tuxedo brownies and cookies.
My Brother-In-Law is having apple pie, pumpkin pie, and donuts with hot cider for their wedding this weekend! I can’t wait!

@stephinPA: pumpkin pie filling, softened cream cheese, pumkpin pie spice, all spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and confec. sugar to taste. Blend all together and make sure you have sweetened it to your liking, and then grab some ginger snaps to dip in and enjoy!

I didn’t even think of pecan pie or tartlets. I have never had a pear tart. Thanks for the ideas!

We are having candy apple as part of our candy bar. We’re going the diy route for that.

You can serve anything. If you are having pumpkin pie, I wouldn’t serve a second pumpkin dessert or anything with sweet potatoes as they have a similar flavor. Perhaps have a non-pie dessert. Carrot cake, anything with cranberries or maple/caramel.
