Hi Bees!!! I am having a hard time coming up with a fall favor! I purchased some leaf bags from oriental trading company… they are these ones…http://www.orientaltrading.com/fall-leaf-bags-a2-25_1311-12-1.fltr?Ntt=leaf+bag Now I need to fill them with something! I wanted to do chocolate dipped pretzels… but that would be a time consuming job toward the wedding and I wouldn’t want someone to take on that responsibilty. So I am trying to find cheap ones online but can;t find any… anybody? Also thought fall cookies would be cute but again, I dont want to have someone do that so close to the wedding for me! I thought about halloween candy but is that tacky?? Candy corn? please any ideas are welcome!! thanks!!!

I am baking mini pumpkin pies. =) I thought of it to incorporate my bee name (MissPumpkinPie) which I happened to change last week. Plus I know my family loves pumpkin pie.

im having a fall wedding and i am doing the honey in mini jars. i was originally going to do toffee apples but you need to order them quite close to the date and i would be worried that they arent going to arrive then have masses on tofee apples to get rid of after the wedding!!

Thanks for all of the great ideas!! I just really am trying to keep the cost down because my mom is paying for it. She already purchased the bags and ribbon for the favor we just dont know what to put in them! We will be having 170-190 guests…. hmm anybody ever made chocolate dipped pretzel rods? I just bet it could be pricey for chocolate!

Trader Joe’s sells maple leaf cookies:
They are DELISH!!
Don’t do chocolate-covered pretzels, they could definitely melt in the pretty bags you picked out.
I personally don’t think Halloween candy is tacky at all. Candy corn would be really easy. You can also see if the grocery store sells those little chocolates that come in aluminum wrappers with pictures on them in the bulk section – maybe they have pumpkin pictures on the chocolate wrappers?

those are cute bags and will look great with your fall theme. the bags look kind of big so you are going to have to fill them will something large or a lot of something small.
my first thought was candy apples/caramel apples. i’m not sure how much in advance you can do that though. i suppose you can buy them already made but it gets expensive.
i like your idea of chocolate covered pretzel sticks. you can probably get a few friends and have them all done in a day.
have you had chocolate dipped licorice? i got red licorice sticks dipped in milk and white chocolate for a gift and it was delicious.
i like the suggestion of caramel popcorn. that will really fill up your bags nicely.
let us know what you decide.

Thank you everyone! I think I am getting closer with all of your help! I really LOVE the idea of popcorn! And for those bags, I could just put about 1/2 cup of popcorn in the bottom and then tie it up with ribbon. So I was thinking I could do popcorn with some candy corn and maybe mini pretzels or m&ms. Like a sweet and salty snack! I have come across some pumpkin pie popcorn flavoring!! That would be cool to sprinkle on some popcorn or even cinnamon and sugar…. Any ideas about popcorn flavoring you guys might add? I love the ideas! Keep them coming 🙂

what about the regular small pretzels? lay them out on a cookie sheet and drizzle/pour different colored chocolate on top…it would be quicker this way and everyone would get a small bag of pretzels to munch on.
