My fiancé and I are very much leaning towards caramel apples. We have thought about doing like mini smaller apples but it seems like a daunting task. We wanted to cover them in sprinkles and then wrap them in cellophane with a bow and a thank you tag or something.
Any other DIY brides out there that did caramel apple favors? Whether smaller or full size.
or any other ideas for cute fall favors?

bkelly89: We did candy apples, caramel apples, and chocolate covered apples. I used them as the place settings. Ours were full size apples.
And they were a huge hit!

If you do caramel apples, I wouldn’t add sprinkles. I would think these would need to be done the day before to ensure the apples stay fresh, which might be hectic depending on your schedule.
Mini pumpkins would be cute and festive… you could even have some permanent markers on the tables and have a pumpkin decorating contest. (Kinda dorky, but I would find it fun!)

Those little test tube looking things with cocoa powder and marshmallows are awfully cute! A little hot cocoa kit.
I would prefer that to caramel or candy apples because I have fillings and such, and a cap on a front tooth where I chipped it as a kid, so I’d be afraid that I’d lose it. Plus, I’ve tried to tackle a caramel apple before, and they’re messy and intimidating. I’m assuming at least a few of your guests will also have dental work that doesn’t mesh with caramel or candy apples.

LOVE your favor idea! Give the task to somone else who is willing to help you maybe Mother-In-Law or your mother? Or anyone in the bridal party? I did cakepops for our favors, but gave the task to family friends who wanted to help. I just gave them the all the supplies becuase you are not going to have the time to do it yourself 🙂
Best wishes to you!

We did spicy/sweet favors for our Oct wedding! My mom and mother in law made huge batches of caramel corn and bagged them up and my dad made 150 jars of spicy pickles (yummm) and we had each guest take one of each! Heard nothing but rave reviews! =)

bkelly89: We are doing a cookie bar for my Fiance that will double as the favor. We will have about 7 different types and some will be super fall flavored and then traditional ones as well

Bellebee31: No I had someone on Etsy make them for me, I went Etsy crazy for the wedding! The mom’s added the little jewels lol- I wasnt a huge fan of the bling, but there was much bigger things to stress about! =) The tops of the pickles had the same sticker, but said “love is spicy” with our initials and date.

I’m a little late but I was a Bride this past October! Originally we were going to do Candy apples since Carmel apples can be a little too messy to package. We were going to buy them though. Not make them. Instead we went a little more lavish for the same price and got 4 piece boxes of Godiva chocolate for each person. They looked amazing at everyone’s place setting!

I went to a wedding in October that had carmel apples and they were a hit! We are getting married in late September next year and have a fall theme and are thinking of doing little containers of local honey. We are also considered getting ferrero r ocher truffles and having those as our favor/place card holder. Our colors and navy blue and gold and fall color accents, so I think those would match our theme as well. Here are some examples:
