I am a HUGE fan of tights and ankle booties or tights and closed toe funky heels/wedges…  The temps are getting lower here in Seattle (although today its sunny and gorg!) and I am wearing a sweater vest dress with black opaque tights and suede ankle booties Wink

@PrncssDva: The one time that I had to wear formal clothes in the winter I wore a black trench coat. My toes were out and freezing, so maybe you should get some closed toe shoes.

@PrncssDva: if it’s formal and not cocktail then yeah, you’ll probably have to freeze lol – no ankle booties with that! for shoes, i’d do peeptoes (you can get open toed pantyhose that might help protect your legs a bit from the elements) so there’s still enough skin but for the most part you’re covered, and then wear a long coat in and out of the event

Oh I don’t think you have to wear peep toe – – I think something along the lines of the below are appropriate for a long formal dress…You can wear tights and your toes can be covered Wink
