I’m in Michigan and fall is for sure the most beautiful time of year around here. My wedding is actually during the week that the leaves are supposed to have the most color this year! It’s still been in the high 80’s, so it doesn’t really feel like fall yet around here.

I love all the haunted houses, scary movies, carving pumpkins, going to cider mills, sweater weather, fall candles from Bath and Body Works, and anything Halloween related. Plus I have an October birthday. But I’m always a little sad because I know winter is right around the corner and we’re heading into the wet, cold, sad, and sick season around here.

What is this fall you speak of? I live in Mississippi. It was in the 90s today. I may be able to break out a scarf around January, and the next week it’ll be right back to summer clothing.

I live in San Francisco, so no real fall here… just shorter days :/ I’m originally from the East Coast. Fall is my favorite season! I am not (that) ashamed of my unabashed love for pumpkins, flannel, scarves, boots, apple picking, corn mazes, etc. etc.

My husband and I got married in Vermont last October; it was perfect, sunny, crisp fall weather and the leaves were at their peak. The very best fall day!

I love fall so much that I’m 99% sure I’ll be naming a future daughter Autumn lol. I’m obsessed. I’ve been toying with the idea of getting a small pumpkin tattoo lol. Halloween is my favourite holiday😊 Darling Husband And I are going to Salem this Friday the 13th in October!

Fall is absolutely my favourite season – nothing is better than boots and sweater weather. And I love to wear tights with dresses, so I actually wear more dresses in the colder weather than the warmer weather.

However, Fall will come in here while it is scheduled to be 91 F. It is ridiculously hot and humid here, with no end in sight until at least next Tuesday, and even then it isn’t going to cool down a lot. I would love it if the advent of fall automatically brought a drop in temperatures!

I broke out my fall clothes two weeks ago and now it’s in the 80s again and they’re back in the closet.  Looking forward to actually wearing them sometime. Apples are in season, and it’s almost time for nice hearty fall soups.  And I somehow totally missed out on PSL last year,  maybe this year I’ll catch up. Also planning some hikes – I hiked a lot this summer, but  it’s much better when it’s not hot and sticky, and the wind is crisp and smells like leaves.

I’m in Canada and I LOVE our falls here!!  I love wearing sweaters, scarves, boots and my fall coats and drinking hot apple cider.  πŸ™‚  Sometimes, we do have very warm fall weather and you can still go out in a t-shirt and shorts, but I like the days of wearing cozy sweaters and my skinny jeans.  And I love the holidays that fall brings:  Halloween, Thanksgiving…and before you know it, it’s Christmas!!

I used to only love the summer, but over the years, I’ve come to appreciate the beauty in all the seasons. I love Fall…the crisp air, the smell of burning leaves and wood. The “rusty” colors of leaves, various squashes, and mum flowers. I love to rake up piles of leaves just to watch my dog run “zoomies” around the yard and fly through the piles, making the leaves flutter through the air again. I don’t have kids, but it’s fun to see them picking out pumpkins and later, trick-or-treating. It’s the beginning of a long holiday season in my mind lol. Oh!! And I love seasonal beers, to include Fall/Pumpkin beers.

I’m in the mid-atlantic part of the US, so “transition” seasons such as Fall and Spring tend to bring a mix of both hot and cool days. I’ve noticed this week that certain species of trees in my neighborhood are already starting to shed leaves.

anabee323 :  Yeah I love living here!  Summers are perfect (70s or 80s with no humidity), it’s not crowded, my “commute” is a 4-minute drive or an 8-minute bike ride.

Winters are looooong, although that varies depending on where you live.  Denver or Boulder, for example, are fairly mild, whereas up higher in the mountains means colder and longer winters.  Here, we often have snow on and off from October to May (yes 6 full months of snow!  in fact I got snowed on earlier this week!), and it can get REALLY old.  Luckily I love to downhill and cross country ski, so I’m happy playing in the snow.  I will never understand people who live here, but don’t do winter sports and complain about the weather all winter!  But yeah it’s also a pain.  Roads can be very dangerous if you have to go out of town, getting all bundled up to step foot outdoors, clearing the snow off your windshield, etc etc.  But the sun comes out most days and we have warm spells that melt all the snow, so it’s not never-ending.  And skiing on a powder day just can’t be beat! πŸ™‚
