Hello hello from one fall wedding bride (3 years ago) to all of you! As part of our postathon (http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/october-post-a-thon-begins-now-poke-in-here-and-start-your-own-threads), we’re posting fall-themed threads, so I thoguht I’d poke in here. For those of you who are getting or have gotten married in the fall, what are your wedding favors?
Mine were little japanese teacups with a teabag in them (the kind with a leaf sticking out of it!). 🙂

I wasn’t a fall bride, but I once got little jars of homemade jam for a favor at a fall wedding. Delicious!

I am getting married November 2nd! It is coming SO fast.
We are doing personalized fortune cookies. 🙂 yum

Strongly considering these:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/101118720/100-heart-and-key-wedding-favors?ref=sr_gallery_1&ga_search_query=100+heart+lock+wood&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery

Fiance and I were engaged in Paris, and we did the love lock tradition. My mom found these and loved them. 🙂 We’re thinking of including some sort of sign explaning the meaning of the favors.

mm homemade jam! That sounds amazing!
personalized fortune cookies! I love this. What do they say inside? Do people actually get a fortune or does it say your names and wedding date? Either way, I love it!
Those heart and key ornaments are adorable! Love them. I say go for it!

I haven’t decided this yet, but I am curious to see what everyone else does!

Getting married November 28th, we aren’t doing favors.

Married three years ago, but we had a pumpkin patch and gave books of love poetry. The books had book marks inside with names, table numbers, and a love quote.

I was a spring bride, but if I’d been a fall bride, being in Canada I think we would have had to do Maple Syrup something. We also would have served DH’s favourite Pumpkin Beer

Pumpkin beer would be such a great treat!

We are offering a candy buffet, we figured it would be a pretty decoration and guests can pick what they want to take home.

wouldn’t it just be awesome to get some mini apple or pumpkin pies at a fall wedding as favours. Easy to make in a pre-made tart pastry…
I am not a fall bride, but any fall bride please steal this idea..I think it’s awesome

Fiance and I are considering having baskets of local apples as centerpieces for our October wedding, and doing a combo of maple sugar candy (attached to seating cards) and apples! That way we dont spend money on something our guests wont use, and we can stencil a monogram (hopefully designed by my sister) onto brown paper lunch bags so that each guest can take apples home. Fiance and I live in New Hampshire, and it is really important to us that our wedding be very “us”, and this just feels like killing 2 birds with 1 stone.

Getting married November 8 this year! So soon! We are having our reception at Founders Brewing Co. so our favors will be Founders pint glasses filled with Kraft paper and wraooed with a bow of twine 🙂
