This week I tried my first mockups for centerpieces. We’ll be doing alternating smaller fishbowl vases and larger, squater fishbowl vases, each with a different design. Under each will have a cherry red square napkin (shown), and the napkins at the tables will be a deep pumpkin orange. Oh, and ivory linens on the tables.
What do you guys think??

(Not sure how I’d arrange the leaves yet) I really like the one with the vase gems, because it’s cheap and easy. I could also mock up one with the vase gems and floating candles. I bet that would make for some cool light?

LOVE this one, but two of my floating candles wouldn’t light! Grr. I’d have to find cheaper flowers as well, but fall stuff is coming out soon to the craft stores so I’m not worried.

I may change this one and do more of a fall wreath outside arond the base and do floating candles or something…so that the base takes up more space. I love the berries though.

I like the one with the floating candles, very pretty. I know I’m a year after you, but you’re giving some neat ideas for mine, thanks!

I really like the one with the vase gems. The floating candles one is my 2nd favorite. I get the point of the leaves but they just seem so random just laid out on the table like that.

@2ndtime: Thanks! Yea they did to me too, which is why I actually like the one where the leaves are inside the vase on top of the dried pumpkin potpourri stuff. At least that way it looks more like it belongs.
I keep forgetting too that there will be TONS of things on the table, so I won’t need the leaves. Each place will also have a mini pumpkin as a favor, so that will add to decor and take up some space too.
Thanks everyone! Any suggestions on good floating candles? I bought these ones at Michael’s just to try them out…and like I said, they wouldn’t light!

I like the one’s that are more round then flat, and the one with the floating candles. I think there’s something strange about the lower one’s having the candle stick up higher than the bowl lip.

@mwitter80: Thanks – I’ll take that into account. I probably will try floating candles again in the flatter vase with the gems to see how that looks.

Where did you get your leaves?
