I think if you’re having a dessert station/candy bar you don’t really need additional favors.

If you really want to have some sort of favor, I like the candy apple idea too.  You could also have hot apple cider mixes packed in cute jars or tins, or cookies/cupcakes in to-go boxes.

Don’t stress 🙂  It’s really just an additional expense that is not absolutely necessary.

Sugar cookies shaped as leaves would be cute.  Bag of m&ms and chocolate pretzels are nice.  Cake pops make me think of wedding cake.

For recent fall weddings we went to, we received leaf-shaped cookie cutters at one(cute, and we didn’t really consider them junk… so many things you can do with cookie cutters), and also a bag of local chocolates at another (thoughtful, but I can’t eat chocolate).

Why don’t you make your “favors” cute containers to go raid the candy bar/dessert station with?
You can put a big not on them that says “Fill me with your favorites at the candy bar!” And maybe even include a little map on there to get to the candy bar.

I think that’s a fine favor… but I am not really a favor person.

@kotonikak:  What about kettle corn and salted caramel dipped in chocolate?  Even if you are having a dessert bar this is something they can take home with them.  If we do a favor we will do an edible one since that is the only kind of favor I like.
