@Running Elley:  my husband loves the idea of a gender nuetral theme so I am leaning towards yellow & grey now too! I love blues & greens but it’s pinks& purples I don’t know if I can do….so if it’s a girl she’ll more than likely get yellows instead of pink.

@TurtleDoves:  Wow! Glucose test appointments are already being made, this whole experience feels like it’s flying by!

Is anyone doing anything fun over the summer? I have a vacation booked in May. I’ll be 23 weeks at the time. Then around 28 weeks I’m actually going to a three day concert. Luckily my group is bringing a camper so I won’t have to sleep on the ground. I know that would probably be miserable. My hubs family has also planned a beach trip for when I’m around 31 weeks, but I’ll have to see how I feel at that time to see if we’ll be able to go with or not. Yay! I’m excited thinking about it.

@yellowbird:  i know, but OB scheduled me for the entire 41 weeks (I hope i’m done by like week 29 though!). We’re going on a trip when im about 20 weeks! It’s at a ski resort that doubles as a golf resort in the summer so it’ll be boring but relaxing…it’s DH’s thing, really.

This summer I might get picked to be a research fellow! So i’ll be “working” but it’ll be very exciting stuff:) And it’ll be about 20h a week so nothing too bad. Also, it’ll be over in august so i’ll have all sept & 2 weeks of Oct to relax before baby comes.

Soooo bathroom girl: guess who is joinging the bathroom girl list with you? ME. I have to pee literally all the time now. Like, if I EVEN THINK about going to the bathroom, all of a sudden i’ll have to go, even if I just went. This isn’t fun!

Love the nursery pics.  We can’t paint walls or really hang stuff on the walls.  We live in a log house and it is log on the inside too.  Next house, i’m going crazy with the nursery!

We are heading to Myrtle Beach next month.  I’ll be about 16 weeks so i’m sure I’ll be limited on some of the things I do.  I was really looking forward to surfing while there (we rented a house right on the beach) but, I guess that will just have to wait.  Maybe I’ll go SUP Boarding instead, you stand for that.  We also have a week off in June, which I was planning on surfing but that will be a big ‘ol fat NO GO.  So I’m sure we will spend a lot of time just chilling on the beach, which works for me too.  And i’m sure we will start to set things up for our little one.

Can’t wait…

I can take off up to 8 weeks before my due date on Mat leave. I think I am going to start that little “vacation” around the end of July. I have 3 weddings to go to in July so that will take up most of my weekends. Other than that I have no vacation plans. Just going to chill out around home. Maybe go out to the lake a few times a week.

We have a trip booked to Taiwan in early June to visit DH’s family there. I’ll be 19 weeks. I’m kinda worried about the food situation while we’re there, but I’m sure I’ll find stuff I like. I hope we can make a couple of beach trips during the summer as well.

Morning ladies….. I had a little worry last week and just kept into the October board. My levels dropped and doctor sort of prepared me for the worst, but my levels rose again this week, ultrasound Friday to hopefully confirm everything is ok!

Based on what happened I haven’t seriously thought nursery themes yet, but I LOVE all your pictures posted so far and can’t wait to get to a point to start really thinking theme! We won’t be painting only because our house is new and we only painted over the builders white this Fall! The entire house is very neutral and I’d like to just get “stuff” to work fine in the room. DH and I have white bedroom furniture though and I love the white in nurseries….but there was a crib safety thing on the news last week and I bookmarked the top crib and it comes in a Dark Cherry, so I will deal…..when we get to that point! The only theme I have thought about is book related. I have a solid collection of my childrens books, every Munsch book, every Berenstein Bears book, every Mercer Mayer, most Dr. Suess and every major childrens book a kid should have. My Mom kept it all for me, and the only thing I thought of was picking one of the sets (I think I naturally lean toward Munsch -Love You Forever) and playing that up. And then of course my closet conversion idea! ha….and this is all me not thinking too seriously :p

Summer plans…..We might make a trip to Boston on our way out East (Canada). DH’s brother is getting married July 28th, DH’s other brother and SIL are due with their first baby July 23rd, so we are SO excited to be out there (Nova Scotia) for both events!! We have 11 wedding invites or STD’s from July 13th to October 20th. Some conflicts (Sat/Sat), some weekends with two weddings (Fri/Sat) so we really still need to sort out what ones we can do, I have already started a separate savings account of $300/month just for wedding gifts, oye. I have April 6th to 16th off, and then nothing until last week of June, 5 or 6 days off into Canada Day weekend, then off July 20th to August 13th.

Guess what? I told someone yesterday! Is it awful my boss knows before my parents? Don’t answer, lol. I told him. He is so good to me, and when I told DH he was totally cool with it and thought it was best he knew. He wished I told him sooner as I did just have my most stressful 10 work weeks of the year and pretty much went through the loss at the beginning and the scare of last week/this week at the end. So HE already talked mat leave with me, which was funny, he and his wife had their first child three weeks ago. DH and I still need to figure out if him doing a paternity leave makes sense for the later part of the year off for him(sorry fellow Americans) or if I will do the full leave and then likely do like 14 months or something crazy as I have so much vacation to use now, plus we accrue vacation while on mat leave and I guess the thing to do is to just tack that on to the end of the mat leave for an extra month off (I will have 23 vacation days to take next year). I figure I will cross that road in the summer and give it some more thought when work starts getting antsy about replacing me as I will need someone shadowing me for a decent amount of time with what I do my boss said yesterday.

I have told some other people….well ok….DH and I know. Riding coach knew first, a BFF then got told, and of course another BFF who’s wedding is Oct 20th, family friend/pharmacist who works in the medical bldg I have been in and out of 8 million times in the last few weeks and surely wondered, so I told her too -I babysat for her (3 boys!) for years growing up (I hope I can raise my kids like she did, love everything she did) and now my boss. That’s it!! If u/s is good Friday we are still hopefully on track to tell parents Easter weekend. First BFF knew, we don’t even see each other often and she knew! I hope she can get preggo again soon (had had some unsuccessful IUI’s lately, does have one son she conceived naturally) as this would be incredible to share with her.

Yay novel post, I am so good at these, man I like to talk too much.

Wow, you all have exciting summer plans! No vacation plans for us, but we’ll be busy trying to sell our townhouse and move into a house by August before Baby P comes. We’ll go to the shore for lots of day trips. We love the beach!

We just heard Baby P’s heartbeat. Yay!! My fertility clinic didn’t have any audio set-up, so we always got to see Baby P, but not hear anything. Today at my first OB visit, she was able to find it. Yay! (She couldn’t find it the first time she tried, but the 2nd time towards the end of my visit, she tried again and found it-whew!!) I’m going to schedule the screening for next week. We’ll make our big announcement in less than a week now. I’m so excited!!

Hi ladies!

I’ve been totally MIA lately. Work got crazy, then they blocked WB again, then they unblocked it, and now I have the FLU! I’m out of work for at least a week!

Ugh, I went to the ER on Monday evening after a full day of fevers and severe lower back pain/rectal pressure (TMI, sorry!). My midwife got concerned when the pressure wouldn’t subside and sent me in to make sure I wasn’t in preterm labor. I’m not sure what prompted the ER to test me for the flu since I had no respiratory symptoms, but it came back positive! We did get to see the babies and they were moving around and had strong heartbeats. Even though our twins are in separate sacs, they were huddled together during the ultrasound. It looks like their bond is already forming! It warms my heart. πŸ™‚

Our nursery is already painted green and I thinking of having DH bring another neutral color in to soften it a bit. We’d like to have a “mild” jungle theme, meaning that we want little touches here and there but don’t want it to look like someone puked jungle in the room!

We don’t have any summer plans, as I’m too scared to go away and be away from the hospital and midwives I want to deliver with! We might do a weekend away, but no more than an hour or two from home. I just don’t want to risk it!
