@Audreysdance:  Lots of deep breaths. First things first…you are NOT a failure. I know it’s easier for someone on the outside to say that, but look at all you’ve done to keep your little guy safe and happy in there. He doesn’t want to leave b/c obviously, it’s awesome in there! You’re doing such an amazing job already, so please don’t think you’re a failure.

And I know this is easier said than done, but we need to get you back to your Zen state! Your Bridal Party is elevated most likely b/c of your pregnancy, but also b/c I know you’re realy anxious to meet your little guy. It’s so frustrating when you’re overdue, but unfortunately, that’s probably helping in raising your Bridal Party. And now you’re even more anxious b/c you feel like a failure, so you’re stressing. Try to do some relaxation breathing or have your DH give you a massage. We need to get you calm so that your Bridal Party doesn’t continue to go up!

Lastly, if you can’t have your all natural birth, remember that it’s ok. You’re not a failure in the least…you just need a little extra help in bringing him into the world. Remember that yours and his safety are the #1 priority, and your doctor is going to do everything possible to make sure that happens. In the end, he will be here, and you’ll have a wonderful little boy to take home and nurture! He’s going to love having you as his mama!

@roxy821:  I don’t blame you for not wanting to file a complaint until after the baby comes, but I’m so mad for you! These people sound like they have no idea what they’re doing and have zero bedside manner! I’ll punch them for you if you want :o)

@Audreysdance:  Try to remember the extreme amount of lack of control we have over pregnancy. I really hope you can have the labor and delivery you invisioned, but at the end of the day you will still have your little one and thats the most important thing. It seems like you are a lot like me very type A with a plan for everything…. but just think this is your child already throwing a tantrum! πŸ™‚ Thats how I try to invision it….. that the baby is just a brat doing their own thing…. but they are our brats!!

I hope everything goes well and will be thinking of you!

@roxy821:  This office sounds terrible!! I totally understand not putting up a stink now, but I totally would right after delivery! Sorry that you had to deal with all that!

@Audreysdance:  I hope this baby decides to come on his own tonight!  You didn’t fail at all.  Somethings you just can’t prevent and the best thing for baby may mean an induction.  Good luck tonight!  Try some raspberry leaf tea and sexy time πŸ˜‰

@Audreysdance:  Oh my!!!  You are not a failure at all!  I’ve looked up to you with all your posts and advice. I think you have been wonderful for that LO!  You should be so very proud of yourself!  Praying your cramping is just the start of your labor process. Good luck mama.

@2PeasinaPod:  That sounds pretty normal (the amount of BH you had) to me. It just sounds like your uterus is getting ready. πŸ™‚ Let us know how the NST goes!!! Yes, this weather is just awful the last few days. I’ll suffer with allergies now until late October. Worst time of year for me. But yet October is still my favorite month. I love fall! πŸ™‚

@Audreysdance:  Thinking of you! I hope the cramps mean he is getting ready! I agree with HopefulMama to try the Sexy Time thing. Can’t hurt! And it could help lower your blood pressure! Are you to go back tomorrow then if nothing happens tonight? Hang in there!!

Hi ladies!!!  Read all of your posts but can only be here for a minute today, so I can’t respond individually (boss is on vacay, so I have double the work).  Just wanted to say I’m thinking of all of you — especially you Audreysdance!

I’m super annoyed with my irrational husband and our birthing class. We were told sex can induce labor if you are full term…. so now he won’t touch me!! Ugh!!

@Audreysdance:  You have done everything right for your little man.  Please stop beating yourself up.  You are not a failure.  I hope your cramping leads to labor.  If you end up being induced, it’s not the end of the world.  Your LO will still be making your family whole and will be meeting the most loving mother in the world.  We’re all sending you so much positive energy and lots of labor love.

@Jenn23:  I am back in this afternoon and if fluid or Bridal Party is still and issue i am being submitted starting Cerv gel overnight then pitocin the next morning unless the cerv gel can start me on its own in which case i still have a chance at water birth.

@AudreysDance- Hope labor starts on it’s own. Can I ask a question though, pardon my ignorance? At childbirth class I heard multiple times that you cannot take a bath after your water breaks, how does a water birth work then?

Hey all. Would someone mind starting a Part 8 thread so I can close this one down? It’s gotten really long and I don’t want it to crash the site. Thanks!

@Audreysdance: Think calming thoughts! Hopefully your Bridal Party is low and fluid levels look good so they don’t have to induce…but remember that if they do, it’s ok! I keep thinking of you and sending lots of labor dust!

@WinterWhite2012: I totally agree!

@carriejuly:  I have to laugh, b/c my irrational husband hasn’t touched me in months b/c of how worried he was that we were going to lose this baby if we did anything. Now that I’m full term, I don’t think anything is changing!

@Jenn23:  Holy Braxton Hicks last night! I went for my NST after I visited with my SIL, and I was having a contraction pretty much every 5 minutes while hooked up to the monitors. His heartrate was great through all of them, but I knew I was hooked up way too long for them not to be worried. I was on for a good hour and the nurse finally came back in to tell me I was ok to go. She had called the doctor b/c of how many contractions I was having and was waiting for him to call back. He was totally fine with it, so I just got to see his heartrate for a little longer last night, that’s all!

@lotam240:  Thanks for checking in! Hope you’re doing well too!

Other than the crazy contractions last night, everything is going well here. My poor SIL is either in pain, or she’s getting sick from the pain medication they’re giving her. They’re going to try to put a stent in today to help her pass the larger stone, but I can’t even imagine the amount of pain she must be in from this! Hopefully things start to look up for her!

I’m 37 weeks officially today! So full term! I honestly can’t believe we’ve made it this far! Only 3 more weeks until my EDD. I have my weekly tomorrow where I’ll get the results of my Strep B test. I’ll also ask about if they’ll let me go past my due date or not. We’ll see!
